George Galloway’s appearance at Brexit campaign rally sparks furore

The appearance of George Galloway as a “surprise guest” at a “Brexit” rally provoked an angry walkout by supporters of Grassroots Out, one of the main groups campaigning against Britain’s EU membership.

  • Did Galloway finally get something right for the first time in his life?

  • andycanuck

And that photo tells you all you need to know about the Telegraph today: A flattering depiction of Galloway and a poor one of Farage.

  • Brenda

    OMG is this for real?
Wasn’t Farage the one who wouldn’t make an alliance with Marine LePen because she was a fascist?
    And now this?

    • Yeah, shocking. But I doubt Farage is so stupid as to ally with Galloway.

      • John

Farage needs to be taken aside and brought up to speed about Galloway.

  • John

How disappointing. Farage really needs to get up to speed. Galloway is the kiss of death for any political movement seeking real change.

    • David Murrell

I am a pro-Brexit supporter, but inviting Galloway in to the cause is the kiss of death. He is a moral and intellectual embarassment.

      • Yeah, that was a very bad move. Although the rally was supposed to include people from all the parties from right to left. So…

  • Galloway is a supporter of Islam.

    • tom_billesley

He married his second wife, a Palestinian, in a muslim ceremony, his third wife, a Lebanese, also in a muslim ceremony, and his fourth wife, a Dutch-born muslim of Indonesian extraction, also in a muslim ceremony. His marriages tend to overlap.
I rather think that makes him a muslim, or a very successful fugitive from Shariah.

      • Yes, and he’s a rabid Israel-hater. A truly despicable creature lurks behind all this.

  • Ron MacDonald

Which explains why he showed up.

  • Sid Falco

Galloway wants to open the floodgates to Pakis instead of Europeans since they are “members of the commonwealth”.

Still, even a (treasonous) stopped clock is right twice a day.

    • Brenda

So does Farage. A lot of these Eurosceptics nurse romantic delusions about the Commonwealth. You have a few sensible ones like Norman Tebbit who will openly say that importing truckloads of villagers from Baluchistan, along with their culture, hasn’t done Britain much good, but they seem to be in the minority. Guys like Farage, Hannan etc. like to natter on about instituting a points system (like Canada’s) which will allow them to import virtuous Indian doctors as opposed to the nasty Poles they’re forced to let in because Europe.

A politician is a politician is a politician … sigh.

I was watching East Enders last night.
        It’s horrible.

  • ntt1

that was a major miscalculation, Galloway is the kiss of death for any political movement , I am surprised at Farages participation, perhaps this is the reason he has fared so badly in elections.

    • Half Judean (Destroyer-Drone)

I don’t trust Farage anyway. Most of what he says wears off pretty fast beyond his anti-EU posturing.

  • Half Judean (Destroyer-Drone)

Let’s not get too excited already.

    • ntt1

Galloway has the poached egg eyes of a rubby and the wet brain to match.

  • tom_billesley

Gorgeous George has taken to wearing that hat even in interviews.
    Bad hair plug job?
