Ontario Liberals reward another unpopular program with more spending

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne turned up at an underground parking garage on Toronto’s waterfront Wednesday to announce that her government was engaging in one of its favourite activities: pouring more money into an unpopular program.

The PCs kicked butt yesterday in the by election for the seat vacated by Christine Elliot. ( Jim Flaherty’s widow )

I’m just looking for a little good news. Even Trulander visited the riding to try and help the Libs.

Most new electric cars only have a range of 100 miles, more than enough for someone living in Europe, inadequate for someone living in Canada. An individual living in Toronto wold be unable to make a return trip to Fort Erie, Colbourg or Barrie and that is there will be no demand for an electric vehicle.

“In a hundred million years or so, that could have a real impact on the environment.”

Until then, the Libs are happy with destroying the society they were born in.

Ontario now has the highest cost of electricity prices in North America. Not only is it becoming less affordable but it is creating bigger environmental problems then it is solving. https://twitter.com/Joe4You/status/698199328368816128

But there is no way a conservative could ever win when the Liberals had the support of both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne stumping for them, two of the most beloved people in all of Canada.

The election results must have been fixed! We need a government inquiry! We need the OPP to investigate the conservatives!

But this is just a fight between special interest groups. Kochs have a significant impact on our politics and US politics. What has to happen I feel are ways to end influence, funding by oil and environmental groups, and then balanced and reasonable policies can go into place. Until then, it will be hearsay and conspiracy theories and assuming that environmentalists control the Liberals and big oil controls the Conservatives or PC in Ontario. What Ontario needs is fact-based policies and having a merit-based democracy. That way any party can win and change Ontario. I am just as sick of unions as I am with corporations and ideology trumping good ideas.

Also, Greg Vezina of the None of the Above party ran in Whitby-Oshawa against Coe and the Liberals and the NDP. We need a system of recall, direct democracy and referenda but within reason or else you would have elections all the time. Vezina even showed up on CBC promoting his ammonia-powered vehicle, so yes big oil does control who goes on the road. We are still using the internal combustion engine even after over 1 century. The main reason for big oil being so significant to the PCs/Conservatives is because they are a reliable donor or else they wouldn’t really care.
