Assessing Credibility In The Ghomeshi Trial

Closing arguments have been made in the Jian Ghomeshi trial. The case, everyone agrees, turns on the credibility of the three complainants. How will the trial judge decide whether he accepts their testimony?

The only certainty at this point is that Marie Heinen’s billing rate is about to go up !

But how much was it her work vs. how much was it the self-immolation of the accusers, along with the incompetence of the police?

The arenas where statutory law does battle against “social justice” are maddening and extremely expensive. See our family law courts and human rights tribunals as exhibits “A” and “B”. In a culture infested with “isms” Marie Heinem is invaluable. In a culture that was sane, she would not be needed at all.

It’s sad that so many people do not know how our legal system works. This trial should be a cautionary tale, not just about telling the truth under oath, but knowing what the rights are of an accused. Conversely, little attention has been paid to the responsibilities of an accuser. What has not been discussed are the consequences for lying under oath (bearing false witness, if you want to get really old-fashioned. These fabricators and their supporters must be Liberals/progressives — looking at the world as they would like to see it, not as it really is. And they are furious that they didn’t get their pound of flesh dripping in blood.

The meet punishment would be that each bimbo gets to slam Jians joint in a desk drawer…5 or 6 times… for each punch or choke hold…..

I believe everything the witnesses said is true. But if it is all true it shows that these women should not be allowed out in public without adult supervision. They brought it all on themselves, and they were good with it until they got dumped. If this wasn’t the case they would have gone to the police ten years ago. I think Gomeshi will be acquitted.

Witness credibility doesn’t matter. It never has.

With the corrupt, canadian judiciary, cases are decided before a word of evidence is given or even before anyone enters the courtroom. The only purpose evidence has in the court is to provide the judges a means to justify a decision they’ve already made.

    The pervert will walk.

I wouldn’t convict him based on what I’ve seen.

Several cartoon ditzes in a self-induced pile of klutz seems like a perfect representation of this case.
