UK: Muslim Terror suspects challenge control order

The Government’s power to control the movements of terrorists living in the UK is to be challenged in a secret court case brought by two men who have served jail terms for terrorist offences.

The two are the only terror suspects subject to Terrorist Prevention and Investigation Measures (TPIMs), a key weapon used by the security services against individuals who pose a threat to national security.

If they win their case, which is being funded by the tax-payer, it will mean that for first time since the controversial measures were introduced ten years ago no terrorist is subject to the control regime.
