Zika virus outbreak IS a ‘global public health emergency’, says World Health Organisation

The zika virus outbreak should be considered a ‘public health emergency of international concern’, the World Health Organisation has warned.

The global health body made its decision after an emergency meeting in Geneva to discuss the ‘explosive’ nature of the virus.

WHO officials have predicted that as many as four million people could be infected with the virus this year.

Canada doesn’t have populations of the two species of mosquito known to be vectors of the Zika virus.
Guess where migrants from the south wanting a safe place to start a family will be heading?

Most of the women getting pregnant in the epicentre are poorly educated teenagers with no access to, or information about, contraception. This is as much about vector borne viruses as it is about third world reproduction habits running headlong into the catholic church’s influence on the local population. Either way it has the potential to be a complete mess. There is a bright side though. South American birth rates will be significantly reduced in the near future and that can only be a good thing.

This may sound paranoid but I don’t trust the WHO. Or any other organization that begins with ‘world’ for that matter.
