Own Goal: Rome covers nude statues to preserve modesty of President Rouhani of Muslim terror state Iran

Italian officials keen to spare the Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani, any possible offence on his visit to Rome covered up nude statues at the city’s Capitoline Museum, where Rouhani and Matteo Renzi, the Italian prime minister, made a joint statement.

Photographs of Monday’s visit show both men standing near a grand equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius, the Roman emperor. Nude statues in the vicinity were covered by large white panels.

With every gesture, Europe signals, “We submit”.

I can’t wait till the Louvre is burned to the ground and liberals cheer.

Imagine Marcus Aurelius hastening to cover up every nude statue in Rome lest they offend some stinking barbarian. The EUnuch Empire has fallen lower than the Roman Empire ever did.

Rouhani might have got on with M. Aurelius, who was emperor when there was no separation of church and state (you had to worship the state gods) and a persecutor of Christians.

  • No, you got the story wrong. Rouhani doesn’t like girls, but he gets sexually turned on by horses. That’s why they hid the nude girl statues and showed the big horse.

As the ayatollah Khomeini taught, bestiality is fine, as long as you don’t sell the meat in your own village. Beware of trade deals, Italy!

  • No worries, in ten years Pope Mahmoud will blow up all offensive statues.

I can smell the money behind this capitulation.

Your all looking at this wrong. They didn’t cover the statues to spare Hassan any offense. They did it because they know muslim men have poor self control and they didn’t want him sexually assaulting the statues.

    • I was just writing the same as you posted this comment!

Yes, someone at the Vatican must have seen that same story about the Muslim humping the mannequin that was posted here a week or two back.

  • More seriously, the Italians’ action is indicative of cultural confusion on their part. The Muslim religion is not prudish like the Christian or Jewish religions. Whereas Christians admire celibacy (as that of Jesus and priests and monks), and Christians and Jews reprove adultery and screwing around, that is not the case with Muslims. Muslim women cover their faces not out of purity or modesty, not out of saintliness, but because Muslim men cannot control their sexual impulses and might jump on them and rape them otherwise. The men demand their women hide at home or hide their faces because they are scared to share them.

Thus, Rouhani (being a powerful man in Iran) is probably (like Mohamed) a mass rapist of minors and women in the privacy of his home, and would not be shocked by statues of women. He is not prude, but probably a rake who watches porno movies all day long. That the Italians treat him as a (Christian) holy man is a joke.

Oh please, they are the least pure people, but go along with the bull if you must.

If they’d asked them to shrink wrap the Vatican they’d have considered it….

On the other hand, maybe the Italians know exactly who they are dealing with: “intel shows this guy consumes 12 hours of porn per day, daily engages in “temporary marriages”, how are we going to keep him focussed on our agenda?”

  • John

Perhaps it’s a measure to ensure that Rouhani doesn’t start caressing and kiossing the statues.

    • Yes, like that Muslim we saw in a video.

  • roccolore

Go to a Muslim country and you’re forced to follow their rules. Muslims come to Europe and it’s Europe that has to cater to Muslim needs and sensitivities.

    • Quite. That’s the shame of it.

  • tom_billesley

They should have just put blindfolds on the statues.

  • FactsWillOut

Did they cover up all the Jews too?
