The EPA and a Flint Race Narrative

A few days after both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders grandstanded about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan during the Democratic presidential debate, the effort to politicize and racialize the scandal has not abated. Michigan Governor Rick Snyder continues to be raked over the coals for the failure of state authorities to act on the information they received about the poisoning of the city’s water supplies. As I noted earlier this week, Clinton and Sanders were hypocrites to demand the Republican governor’s resignation while remaining silent about proof that that the Rahm Emanuel, the Democratic mayor of Chicago, played an active role in a cover-up of evidence of police violence. Yet the liberal mainstream media haven’t stopped at merely treating a Republican scandal as being somehow more worthy of concern that one involving a Democrat. They’ve continued to assert that what happened in Flint was primarily the function of race rather than GOP incompetence.

And eventually, socialists also run out of other people’s water.

    • What a multi governmental organizational screw up. They all need to be fired.

And where the hell was the media? Probably bitching about Trump.

This shit UTTERLY pisses me off!
I mean incandescent with rage pissed-off.
This is third-world bullshit and has no place in American ANYWHERE.
Everyone connected with this debacle needs to receive jail time, and I don’t care how many it is.
Real “pound me in the ass” prison, and for a few years too!

    • It is horrifying.

the thing is; the lead poisoning is cumulative and can change basic DNA so damage may well extend to generations yet unborn. it is beyond incompetence it is a crime against humanity and heavy jail terms are needed.

It was not a function of GOP incompetence.
It was a function of Democrat competence.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Yep, and not only incompetence, I believe if you look close enough, you will find a fair amount of graft too.
These kinds of things don’t happen for free, they are allowed to happen.

What pisses me off is that the left always project their basest motives onto us.
We do the things that we do because we are motivated by altruism.
I tutor kids in math because math isn’t that hard and their teachers are not good enough to teach them properly.
I post on message boards because I want to instead of receiving an election campaign cheque from the Liberal party.
I rake the fallen leaves from my neighbours yard if he’s not around because the wind will push them back into mine.

    • You are being too nice.

      I say the gallows.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

        Metaphorically speaking, yes!

        • dance…dancetotheradio

Is metaphorically speaking the new not that there’s anything wrong with that?

          • Drunk_by_Noon

It’s the incantation used to invoke a magic spell of protection that keeps the RCMP and the Toronto Police from visiting the Cat Man at home during the early hours of the morning over what some forum member might have said here that was interpreted the wrong way by the authorities.

            Metaphorically speaking
There’s a starman waiting in the sky
He’d like to come and meet us
But he thinks he’d blow our minds
There’s a starman waiting in the sky
Hes told us not to blow it
Cause he knows it’s all worthwhile

When something like this happens, the first step is to always blame it on the nearest conservative. Same here, where was the Democrat Mayor? Of course it was Bushes fault that both the Democrat Governor and the Democrat Mayor of New Orleans were both corrupt and stupid.
