NOT GUILTY: Gregory Alan Elliott verdict means “free speech has won the day” #Bitches!!

After a legal battle that dragged on for three years , Gregory Alan Elliott has been found not guilty.

In 2012, Elliott was charged with criminal harassment after arguing with feminist activists on Twitter. He’s suffered through a tortuous court case that has cost him nearly one hundred thousand dollars.

Anyone following this case knows that Greg is only guilty of the crime of wrongthink. He was arrested for critically engaging with people who disagreed with him. It wasn’t any different from what people do on social media platforms every day.

Pyrrhic victory, seeing how he is out 100G just for freely speaking his mind in our fascist little country. The crown should be charged with malicious prosecution, be fired for cause, and be compelled to pay all of his court costs plus damages.

    • I do hope he has recourse.

    • V10_Rob

Exactly. Free speech has been upheld, and you can rest assured your rights will be recognized… as long as you can afford the lengthy legal battle.

I was astonished to make the connection when I realized he was in The Animals.

The “O Lucky Man” soundtrack was one of the best, ever (INHO).

I didn’t see it for the first time until a few years ago on some movie channel.
I was just a kid when he made it.

Can he sue the feminists who brought the case to court–maybe millions of dollars for legal fees, lost income, pain, suffering, etc., etc.? That would strike a meaningful blow for free speech. So tired of SLAPP cases by leftists, feminists, Muslims, etc.

      • Justin St.Denis

Those feminists should be highlighted online – big profiles – lets get pictures and everything about where they work, what they do, etc. and SHAME them for the feral fascists they really are.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

I’m sure they have big profiles.

The Ontario crown has a lot to answer for over the years. Nelles and Homolka are just a two examples of their questionable decision-making that immediately come to mind.

      • Justin St.Denis

Susan Nelles was CRUCFIED by the Ontario government, the media and the (gerrymandered) public opinion. If ever a Canadian citizen deserved MILLIONS in compensation for her pain and suffering, it is Susan Nelles!

    The process is the punishment.

He should have set up a crowd funding to pay his legal expenses, right wing blogs could have promoted it.

    • Editor

He has. And has about 63k. Not sure if I can/should post link but it’s easy to find.

    • He shouldn’t have to set up anything — it was a petty and vexatious prosecution. The losers should pay.

      • Ron MacDonald

Good luck trying to collect it. I spent from 1991 to 1998 in litigation. They used delaying tactics and played every trick in the book to discourage me. I won, but never received a cent. My only consolation is that I financially destroyed two scumbags. Eighteen years later neither has recovered.

        • You’re lucky — at least you got it into court. I tried that for years but they used the tactic that I was “mentally ill” and “heard voices”. Never been mentally ill, never heard voices. But all they had to do is find a friend in the Social Services industry (with a two-year community college certificate) who is willing to say that, and they’ll keep it out of court “out of compassion for the dangerously mentally ill”. They don’t bother checking.

          • Ron MacDonald

I also had to endure the expense of the Appellant Court, they were no-shows.

It’s just like the Duke lacrosse team even after charges were dropped.

  • This seriously pisses me off. It happens time and again, but only with conservatives and libertarians. Never with the militant Left. And the Left always seems to find ways for the taxpayer to fund their false prosecutions. Are our jurists and Legislators not witnessing this? Are the morons on our Supreme Court and in our Law societies not touched in their consciences by the pattern of extreme bias? Or are they more than just morons — sociopaths? Do they actually believe that the punishment for defending oneself from a false prosecution re: free debate in a free democratic society should be $100,000? And do they actually believe that the individuals who continue to initiate these false prosecutions, on the taxpayer dime, should never have to pay restitution when they are in fact discovered to be petty and vexatious?

Is this the Canadian Legal system or the communist Cuban legal system? If Canada has adopted the Cuban legal system then jurists and Legislators should at least have the guts to be straight-up about it and tell the public. Even in communist Cuba citizens at least know what they are dealing with.

They’re lawyers. They love the legal system. The justice system, not so much.

  • charlieweird

Thank God… everything else in canada is falling to pieces but, thankfully the judiciary hasn’t lost its mind yet… or maybe it just hasn’t got the official memo yet?

So when the next muslim asskicks or bitchslaps one of these very fine women, will the come crying to us for protection or accept the judgement of Islam?

    • Editor

Well, if you go by the reaction of feminists to the Cologne New Year’s Eve GropeFest, they will accept the judgement of islam. European feminists seem to have placed muslims higher on the oppression stack than women.

Can someone start a conservative twitter and facebook?
I don’t use either one of those now.

    • Ditto. Been saying that for years. How about cranking up the old BBS (electronic Bulletin Board System)? Pre-Internet, doesn’t pass through the Internet. Purely computer telcom modem-based.
