Some people in Russia are very angry about Papa John’s ‘Josef Stalin’ pizza discount

People in Russia were not happy this week to find out that the words “Josef Stalin” can get you a discount at Papa John’s pizza.

  • Ha! When we decide to hang the Communists, they’ll steal the rope for us.

  • Dana Garcia

10 percent off if you are left handed??

The only reason this is a controversy in the Putin controlled media in Russia is that the secret words were not “Vladimir Putin”.

  • Drunk_by_Noon

If I say “Adolph Hitler” at a Der Wienerschnitzel, will I get a discount on a kraut and mustard dog too?

    • kkruger71

No, but your pizza would be oven-fresh.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Do their “pizzas” scream when you put them in the oven?

        I denounce myself.

        • kkruger71

I questioned my comment after posting it.

            Quick! Denounce yourself.

  • All I know is I want one of those T-shirts.

  • FactsWillOut

Seems to me that we have forgotten what “very angry” means.
Hint: It has nothing to do with twitter.

  • So NOW the Russians are upset with Stalin?

  • “The Kentucky-based pizza chain later apologised for using the promotional code and for any “unintentional” offence caused, adding that the firm tries to stay “apolitical”.”

Yeah. Because Stalin is just another political option, like John Kasich.
