Burkina Faso attacks: Four Al-Qaeda terrorists – ‘including two women’ – killed after special forces free 126 hostages in hotel siege

Burkina Faso and French forces killed four Islamist extremists on Saturday and freed more than 126 people to end the seige of a luxury hotel by al-Qaida-linked militants, Burkina Faso officials said.

In addition to the four jihadists, at least 23 people were killed in the attack at the Splendid Hotel and a nearby cafe in Ouagadougou, the capital, the president said.

It’s Israel’s fault because of their stubborn refusal to return to the 1967 borders.

Geez. And all the colonialist powers vacated these countries decades ago because the locals were ready to govern themselves. Yet somehow they keep dragging us back in and millions of their ignorant unwashed masses keep coming here to live instead staying in their third world paradises?

  • I was in Burkina Faso (upper Volta at the time) many years ago. It was a gentle place, with gentle people. Islam’s revival as Islamism spells the end of peace and security all over the world.

If you were a native of Burkina Faso would that make you a Burkina fascist?

      • Burkina Faso means land of the upright/honest people. Residents of Burkina Faso are known as Burkinabé (/bərˈkiːnəbeɪ/ bər-kee-nə-bay).

I was there as a visitor.
