Sean Penn and Rolling Stone under fire for El Chapo interview

Sean Penn and Rolling Stone are facing a withering barrage of criticism for publishing a rambling account of a jungle-clearing interview with Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the Mexican drug lord.

Critics focussed on the magazine’s decision to allow full copy approval to a murderer and drug trafficker, as well as allowing him a platform to set out his views at a time when he was a wanted criminal.

But Penn also earned sweeping ridicule for 11,000 words of often-bizarre prose, in which he makes reference to his own flatulence as a “subtle brume” and expends more column inches discussing his scoop than dissecting Guzman’s murderous record.

Penn makes Professor Irwin Corey sound like a polymath.
I love listening to him make speeches….
Btw the professor is 101 years old….and still panhandles as a hobby.

I think it would be fun to give currency to the suspicion Sean rolled over on el Chapo…….lets surmise he did it for the reward money….perhaps mention “reliable sources” in the Hispanic community.
Spread the word…..Sean wants attention? Let’s help him get lots of attention.

I hear he’s all the time burning Koran’s soaked in Bacon Grease too…

after Tsarnaev are we really surprised?

    • Rolling Stone and Sean “Pig” Penn know how to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

Flotsam in a sewage holding tank, these two ugly and vile creatures merging has one big piece of crap !

At least Sean Penn is up front about his convictions, unlike most media weasels. Everyone would be better off if all leftists were as honest and open about their beliefs.

Pretty sure it was Penn and the Rolling Stone that squealed on old El Chapo… and they were burning Koran’s…. just sayin…

  • Spatchcocked

Burning Korans? In Hollywood? Sean Penn? Korans soaked in bacon fat?
And you say there’s a video?

    McCarthy was right.

    And so was Enoch Powell.

But the Boy Scout leaders of the West repudiated a plain commonsensical understanding of human nature.

Yo Spatchy, methinks you gots a problem posting replies. It looks like your last two posts were intended as replies, but they appear at the top-level, standalone.

Penn really has to stop doing his interviewee’s products. Other than the incoherent ramblings of a confirmed hollywood half wit playing the part of Barbara Walters, it wasn’t a bad interview.

“subtle brume”. Describes himself perfectly. Like wind from a monkey’s ass.

  • Cat-astrophe

I think someone of importance is afraid of what Penn may have been told that he is not talking about.

Martyachi?….problems? You think I got problems? Don’t ask….don’t even ask.

But my problems pale into etc etc compared to Geraldo Rivera wannabe Sean’s problems…..the guy burns Korans in bacon fat AND rolls over on el Chapo….this is in Trumpian terms a HUGE problemo….
I think Sean might think of a reprise of ” the man in the iron mask” or ” the invisible man”….both roles in which he would be boffo of course…

Please don’t mention Sean’s Oscar winning performance in ” dead man walking”..
    That’d be in poor taste.
