Ten years ago, Canada’s immigration system was broken.
It enabled fraudsters, made our country vulnerable to security threats and put special interests ahead of taxpayers.
Thanks to years of hard work and targeted reforms by the Harper Conservatives, however, Canada’s immigration system became the envy of the world.
CNN host and former Time Magazine editor-at-large Fareed Zakaria took notice, and dedicated a show to exploring Canada’s immigration reforms in 2012.
On Twitter, Zakaria said that, “Canada has the most successful set of immigration policies in the world.”
Unfortunately, but unsurprisingly, the Trudeau government has already begun to undo some of Harper’s best work on immigration.
