How Scientists Know the North Korea Blast Probably Wasn’t an H-Bomb

National security experts were quick to express doubt about North Korea’s claim that it tested its first hydrogen bomb on Wednesday. This chart explains why: The seismic effects of the explosion are too similar to previous explosions, in 2013, 2009, and 2006, which were all confirmed as underground nuclear tests. A true hydrogen bomb would have caused a larger seismic reading.

Must be getting jealous of all the ISIS talk.

  • Shebel

Why not just drop a very small, atomic bomb on this fat little fuck–
    You know—sort of like a ‘wake-up’ call

A lovely idea. I also like the idea of urinal cakes manufactured in his image. I personally would love to piss in his face every time I visit Timmy’s.

    • No.

Give the North Koreans protein and rusty meat hooks. Show them any South Korean soap opera so that they know what is missing. Bribe the generals who are already scheming to rid the world of this maniacal fatty to let these starving masses in Kim’s palace. Let nature take its course.

  • Shebel

He sure does act like a Muslim.

  • There’s also the possibility that there was no bomb test at all — North Korea just happened to have a minor earthquake and they saw the propaganda opportunity. Because that’s the way they roll.

This all seems to be what I said yesterday!

If the exact wording from NK did not include “fusion” then all sorts of word games could be on offer with varying degrees of reality attached. A bit of tritium stuck in the centre would sort of qualify any explosion as a hydrogen bomb. Sort of.

    • Katyn

It’s called boosting and is pretty standard in modern fission designs. The bit of fusion that occurs floods the fissioning plutonium with extra neutrons and thus boosts the yield. You’re talking a factor you can count on your fingers, not the orders of magnitude a true staged fusion device would yield.

I won’t feel safe until there’s consensus in the science community and Obama assures us that North Korea has been contained.

    • Shebel

The only people Obama wants to contain are either White or Jewish.

  • Cat-astrophe

Hey folks, relax. It was only a nuke, not a hydrogen bomb, lol.
By the way, The Chairman takes a natural Kilroy was here photo.

  • Gotterdammerung141

Well I’m so glad to hear that NKorea doesn’t have full blown H bombs, just the capacity to build regular every day nukes. Thank God for that I guess.

Lets just air drop alan alda armed with a few pounds of gruyere cheese for the Pyongyang dough boy. it may accomplish nothing but it would be fun.

  • Put sanctions on China, North Korea’s benefactor.

  • Barrington Minge

This is all semantics. The Little Porkster has a bomb and that is bad enough!!!
