‘Qatari royals’ among 26 hunters kidnapped by gunmen in Iraq

Gunmen have kidnapped at least 26 Qatari falcon hunters, including members of its royal family, in a remote desert area of southern Iraq, officials have revealed.

They were snatched from their camp near Samawah province, 230 miles from Baghdad, at around 3am today, said the area’s governor, Faleh al-Zayadi.

The kidnappers were driving SUVs mounted with machine guns, one police official said after the second high profile abduction in Iraq since September.

Aww so sad for the little Princes! Qatar funds terrorism.

As much as I’d like to see the little princes starring in their very own beheading video, Qatar will almost certainly just fork over an enormous ransom.

    • Sad but true.

Any of their slaves in the party will have to be replaced.

These guys are lucky. They will only be ransomed.

    • Exactly.

Why would you go hunting that close to ISIS territory? ait’s a money laundering scam. TE Qatar government can now fork over money and arms to ISIS for the lost prince and it’s ransom payment but if they didn’t have a prince the money would be considered terrorist financing.

  • Hard Little Machine

Not so sure. ISIS is nothing if not insane. They might cut them to pieces on ISIS TV and send the parts back to their families. Not that I care or that it matters.

  • Norman_In_New_York

I doubt if it was ISIS because the province is too far south of its controlled area. I would say that Shiite militias did it. Could be a reaction to the 34-Sunni-nation coalition.

I don’t care what happens to the rag heads as long as they let the falcons go.

    Am I a bad person, if I don`t care?
