Ottawa’s Algonquin College Tries–and Fails–To Make a Go Of Things At a New Campus In…Saudi Arabia?

No kidding. So how much money has this doomed-from-the-start project made so far, professor?

  • infedel

    Yikes and WOW…wake up WEST

  • BillyHW

Male-only? LOL, how did they get away with that?

I wonder if the Saudi campus allows gays…and what about Pride week?

I’m sure this is just the tip of a massive and disturbing iceberg involving western

academic institutions. Carnegie Mellon University has a branch in Qatar. And York University (Toronto) has some sort of partnership with Saudi Arabia.

If these universities are any indication, it’s mostly low-ranking institutions that are ‘partnering’ with Middle Eastern countries.

The concerning thing with Algonquin is its one of the top colleges not on in Ontario but Eastern Canada.

In academia as well as in politics, money talks and bullshit walks.

Soddy Barberia and ISIS…two peas from the same pod. Why are we doing business with the Soddies?

  • roccolore

Funny how the same schools that ban Christian groups for being “anti-gay” will set up campuses in the Muslim countries where homosexuality is a death sentence.

  • terrence

Yeah, but it is OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY – so they do have to be concerned about how much they lose…

  • ..

  • this makes me sad
