What Would “Winning” Look Like? (Besides Having “Great Hair”?)

Taki’s own Gavin McInnes just conducted a mesmerizing interview with Breitbart.com’s Milo.

It was titled “Why We’re Winning,” because Milo’s new column in question is called “Why I’m Winning,” and so they talked for over twenty minutes about how and why “we”—the right; anti-SJWs; cultural libertarians; Your Name Here—are finally thrashing the politically correct left’s pimply flat ass.

I so want to believe that Milo and Gavin are correct…

They may be right in sense that the tide is shifting or slowing down, but this is just the sort of thing I always go on about. The poles of left/right have now shifted so that even if someone that Gavin and Milo supported got into power and enacted all the laws they want, and the culture shifted to their way of thinking, we would still be further to the left than say 20 years ago. Every “victory” the right gets is actually just a slowing down of how much ground we lose. It is almost never gaining any real territory back.

Maybe I’m just a pessimist, but I don’t see it. Maybe we’re nearing a turning point, but I’m not sure I see that either. The whole pc/safe space/islam is a religion of peace nonsense seems as strong as ever. Trudeau did just win and Hilary probably will too. Europe may be different
