Barbara Kay: Bill Maher 1, Chrystia Freeland 0

Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s Minister for International Trade is, generally speaking, a smart cookie. But that wasn’t my takeaway from her performance as a guest panelist alongside Maine governor Angus King and The Federalist publisher Ben Domenech on the Bill Maher “Real Time” show that aired last Friday. Maher made Freeland look, well, less than smart, without even breaking a sweat.

“Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s Minister for International Trade is, generally speaking, a smart cookie.”
    Generally speaking?
    Uhhh… NO!

Please somebody, show me a pattern that says Chrystia Freeland is not a flaming moron.

I bet you can’t do it.
    Prove me wrong.

    • Smart cookie?

      I don’t think so.

    • DD_Austin

      I can show you a T-shirt
should be a progressive best seller in Rosedale

Barbara had to say something nice about her. She couldn’t just come out and call her a busy ditch in a respectable publication like the Post.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

I guess I would not make it as a Post columnist.

And the spitting image of Marianne Meed Ward to boot!

    • dance…dancetotheradio

Sorry, that picture got to me.
I’m busy searching for some internet porn to induce my testicles to un-retract.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Turn off safe search and then Google “Jenny Scordamaglia” and “Yoga”.
That should wash that taste right out of your mouth!

      • Norman_In_New_York

When confronted by a face like that, I instinctively turn to the Instagram pictures of Israeli chicks at the beach or pool.

        • Drunk_by_Noon

Cute to be sure, but the ones of them standing around in swimsuits and M-16s are the best.
          Don’t know why.

    • I heard my mother the other day talking about Chrystia on the phone with some friend of hers. I gather that mommy dearest, an unshakable Tory voter and no fan of Islam, is slightly torn on the subject of C.F. – why she should concern herself with this subject I couldn’t tell you – because she’s kind of heard about the Bill Maher thing but she’s also heard that Freeland is half-Ukrainian and a bit of a Uke-booster. Something about Putin not wanting her invited somewhere, I’d have to look it up. This sort of bollocks is catnip to Mommy Dearest.

      Cons: She’s clinically retarded.
      Pros: Go Ukes!

Perhaps the “Minister for International Trade” could arrange a trade for us. We’ll take 30 Syrian refugees and Syria gets the Liberal cabinet.

Stimulants, crack or crystal, it doesn’t matter. They all have the same look.

    • Katyn

And the thousand cock stare. Classic.

  • mobuyus

Not only is she fucken stupid, she’s fucken ugly to boot.

  • WalterBannon

Idiots like Turdeau like to surround themselves with other idiots like Chrystia

Know what I love about not sitting at the department head meeting at the hotel every week and instead work with electrical engineers and technologists?
I am not the smartest person in the room.

Actually I doubt Trudeau jr. was even capable of picking her or the rest of the incompetent losers. I wager his advisors told him whom to pick. Never forget that wee Trudeau is only a puppet, a front, and is not running the show. I do not mean this to excuse the man-child in the least; only to point out that he is totally lacking in smarts.

Even if she were the only cookie left in the jar she would never qualify as smart.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

McCallum prefers whiskey in the jar.

  • Clear Thinker

What she showed was some major league September 10th thinking. The idea that all cultures are equal was incinerated by 25,000 gallons of jet fuel one fine September morning, not so long ago. We must remember, even if she wont or cannot.

  • Gary

Wow, that photo now makes it clear why the media and liberals didn’t want any close-ups of her.

  • kkruger71

First time I watched this I was struck by the fact that in her first sentence she used the phrase “diversity is our strength”. When the very first argument you use in a debate is an empty, overused expression like that it does not speak of a very deep thinker.
