The Middle East in One Bad Article

Yesterday another Israeli soldier was killed and two more were wounded in a stabbing attack at a gas station by a Palestinian terrorist. On Sunday, another Israeli, a 20-year-old woman, was stabbed at an intersection near where 18-year-old Ezra Schwartz from Sharon, Massachusetts was killed. That attack was one of three assaults by Palestinians on Jewish targets that took place that day in which Israelis defending themselves killed all of the terrorist assailants. How did the New York Times describe it in their initial report on the events of the day published on its website Sunday evening? The headline read as follows: “1 Israeli and 3 Palestinians Killed in the West Bank.” This was a classic example of moral equivalence in which Israeli victims are equated by mainstream media bias with terrorists.

  • Israel is the “canary in the coal mine” where freedom in the Middle East is concerned, particularly freedom of the press. Why would NYT journalists want to choke the life out of their only surviving little “canary” over there?

Remember when David Letterman cried like a little baby on public TV, in the wake of 9/11? Remember when all of Hollywood cried, and all the elitist Left-wing journalists trembled like fragile rose petals in the wind in the wake of 9/11? Great big powerful America trembled. You never see little Israel tremble like that, yet she is never acknowledged for her bravery.

One thing about life, if you don’t learn its lessons the first time round, then you will have to learn them the second, or the third time. Call it the “law of Karma” or call it what you want, but smug American journalists will weep once again.

Back when Serrano’s “Piss Christ” photo was causing controversy,
the NYT made sure to publish a photo of the work. Same for Ofili’s
painting of the Virgin Mary made out of dung and pornographic
photos– that also got published. Yet when Pamela Gellar’s “Draw
Mohammad” competition was attacked by a gunman, the NYT
declined to publish photos of works from that exhibition, citing the
paper’s editorial policy against offending religious groups.

The New York Times is run by a bunch of shameless cowards
who wouldn’t know actual journalism if it blew up the World
Trade Center right in front of them.

If these murders keep on happening then the only avenue available to the Israeli’s for their own protection is to expel all moslems from Israel. Oh, won’t the chattering class like that?

Even when a Palestinian kills another Palestinian because she thought he was a Jew, they’ll just call it “Palestinian killed in attack in occupied terriroties”.
