Joy for Yazidis as ISIS are driven from their home town of Sinjar…

Yazidis are celebrating the liberation of Sinjar from the Islamic State as the Iraqi military attacks Ramadi and jihadis flee the town of Homs in Syria.

The operation in Sinjar, Iraq, was led by the autonomous Kurdish region’s peshmerga forces, and backed by U.S. air strikes and Yazidi fighters.

Meanwhile, a coalition of Arab, Christian and Kurdish rebel factions in northern Syria, seized the ISIS-held town of Hol, and Iraq’s military advanced on three fronts to begin clearing militants from the city of Ramadi.
