Trudeau, the anointed one

Watching Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his cabinet during their swearing-in ceremony last week, I was struck by how perfectly they fit into what the great American conservative thinker Thomas Sowell describes as the The Vision of the Anointed in his book of the same name.

Sowell’s work is an examination of the views, attitudes and prevailing vision of today’s liberal elites in American society.

But it also fits Canada to a T.

I’m looking forward to how badly they screw up.
Legislative overreach is like Scooby snacks or hunny to Liberals.

Honestly though, none of their screw ups will be their fault. Either it was those evil Harperites poisoning the field behind them (wonder how much they will claim the deficit left to them will be), or Big Oil and the like spoiled their plans, or people were mislead by conservative business interests and just didn’t understand, or just plain lying that what they did is working while the building burns down around them.

Tom Sowell really nails liberal conceit about their alleged virtue — which is often displayed by declaring conservatives to be reprobate knuckle-draggers.

Didn’t you like his “balanced” Cabinet of 30 people, 15 of them female, of different races from all across the country?

Of course with 6 Jewish MPPs elected, not one was appointed to his Cabinet. I guess Liberal “balanced” doesn’t include them.

Sorry but if you are Jewish and run as a candidate for the likes of the Liberal Party with the man-child allegedly at the head, I say they can suck it up. This is the same party that turned away Jews fleeing the Holocaust. I say the same for any ethnic member, since ethnic groups (not including Muslims) are far more conservative in their values than a lot of whites today.

The new minister of Natural Resources, Jim Carr, is kind of Jewishy. His grandparents came from Russia.

    • Josh Zuckerman

First of all, they are MP’s, not MPP’s (those are provincial).

Second, 6 Jewish MP’s is more than the Conservatives ever elected in their entire term in power, so the Liberals are already ahead of the Conservatives in Year 1 when it comes to Jewish representation.

Third, the biggest error of all you made is that you didn’t notice that Jim Carr, the Natural Resources Minister, is Jewish. He’s about as Jewish as you can get and has been involved in Jewish causes in Winnipeg for years.

Like muslims, who cling to islam because without it they are underachieving nothings, Liberal elites cling to liberalism because those damn bastard conservatives out earn ’em!! Imagine how you’d feel, if recently appointed professor of political philosophy at some university, you realize that some guy down the street, who barely finished high school, and who started installing garage doors and then built a company around that out earns you 5-1. That’s wrong!!! Any system that allows that is wrong!

And therein lies the difference between Liberals and Conservatives. Liberals vote “compassion” while Conservative do compassion. Liberals think if they vote Liberal suddenly they are endowed with “compassion” and “environmentalism” and “tolerance” without ever having to lift a finger while Conservatives practice these characteristics as part of their daily lives. What it really shows is just how phony Liberals really are.

I don’t see his new cabinet has a big issue has long has they do a good job that’s all .

    • Clausewitz

Appointing a cabinet based on quota’s as opposed to merit, is not starting off in the right direction.

      • Maurixio Garciasanchez

Whatever he does , the Cons are ready to come against him , I guess you should move on and if he does a good job a decade for him will be fine .

        • Clausewitz

Once again you totally miss the point.
