It’s a little “shooty” here just now. San Diego International Airport has been closed to all incoming flights because of a barricaded “domestic violence suspect” that has barricaded himself inside his low-rent apartment under the flight path of San Diego International and has been blasting away with a “high-powered rifle”, or so they say.
SAN DIEGO — A man with a high-powered gun was firing sporadically inside a San Diego apartment complex Wednesday, causing the city’s nearby airport to halt planes from landing, authorities said.
No one was reported hurt, and officers swarmed the building and had the man contained inside, Lt. Scott Wahl said.
The complex is under the San Diego International Airport’s approach path, and landings were halted as a precaution, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said departures were still being allowed.
