Atheist explains honestly why he feels free to criticize Christians

It’s not that you didn’t know this. But there are times when it seems like no one has the guts to simply say it.

Phil Zuckerman, a professor of “secular studies” at Pfizer College in Claremont, CA — and avowed atheist — did speak with refreshing candor on this topic in a panel discussion on religious liberty at Georgetown this past week.

Penny Star of CNS News reports that Kirsten Powers, journalist (and Fox News contributor), was another of the panelists.  During the discussion, she asked why Christians are criticized — often brutally — for their beliefs about same-sex marriage, whereas Muslims aren’t.

Odd, how the principle of strident consistency is only applied to our side.
“If we do it for one group, then you have to do it for everybody”
    Well, maybe not so much.

We can now add that concept of strident consistency to the pile of lies the left insists we live by.

    • He wouldn’t criticize Islam because of “fear”. Here is the beginning of my article “Islam is Fear”. It goes into detail on this issue.

Would you wear a T-shirt with a Mohammad cartoon printed on it?

You might in Montana. Don’t try it in Mecca.

Because, Islam trains a small number of its most devout believers it’s OK to kill. And Islamic killers have been trained to kill anyone who insults Allah and/or Mohammad.

In Montana you’d have a good chance none of these Islamic killers would see you.

In Mecca you wouldn’t last five minutes. One of Islam’s killers would come from out of nowhere and kill you. It is that simple.

You don’t believe me? Ask any Muslim!

Well, he’s honest. a gutless piece of shit, but honest.

Hypocrisy negates any of his arguments.

  • Clausewitz

He’ll criticise Christianity but not Islam because he knows Christians wont do him any bodily harm, so that makes him both a hypocrite and a coward.

  • Xavier

Well if you ask me he’s telegraphing how he wants us to treat him.

Is that carte blanche to beat his face in?
I only wish I was still as young as Alex in A Clockwork Orange.
The Young Offenders Act would protect me.

There’s a lot of nasty in that sentence fragment.

How much of it is redundant?

Why won’t “Modern Liberals” criticize Islam,, easy, Islam like “Modern Liberalism” is a Fascist ideology and a great tool for cultural Marxism against the West,,

  • Millie_Woods

I only hit people who won’t hit back, because I have children. Think about that. What a cheeky piece of shit.

There’s that word “studies” again, always a red flag of academic dishonesty.

  • Jabberwokk

Nothing like a healthy does of cruel pitiless reality to make the truth of things boil to the surface.

The Irony dawned on me that the next time I get asked why I am a Christian I can answer “so you can be an atheist”.

The sad part is even if they admit we were right all along through gritted teeth it will likely be before the hammer drops. A Pyrrhic Victory for us and everyone loses. >:(

My Hope is that we hash this out before that happens and we may yet survive this.
