Hundreds of terror suspects have disappeared as a ‘direct result’ of Edward Snowden’s intelligence leak, US reveals

Hundreds of terror suspects have disappeared as a ‘direct result’ of the mass leak of classified information by fugitive US spy Edward Snowden, a top security chief has revealed.

US National Security Agency chief Richard Ledgett dismissed claims that Snowden was a ‘whistleblower’ and claimed he had alerted fanatics to the ways security agencies were keeping the public safe.

Snowden – a former NSA contractor who is now living in Moscow under the protection of the Putin regime – fled the US after leaking details about the government’s surveillance programmes.
