Legalizing marijuana won’t be easy for Trudeau, says Colorado regulator

A Colorado official has some sobering words of advice for prime minister-designate Justin Trudeau if he fulfils his promise to legalize pot in Canada.

“It’s going to be a lot harder to implement than you think. It’s going to take a lot longer to do it. And it’s going to cost more than you think,” said Lewis Koski, director of the state’s Marijuana Enforcement Division.

Pshaw! Nothing is difficult for PM Pothead!

I hope it takes four years.

Not me. I’ve got family who are opposed to legalization but voted Grit whose faces I want to rub in it before 2019.

      Or more……

Reported on 680 News station today that Justin has let it be known that he plans on getting around to legalizing pot only in his third or fourth year. He probably wants this issue around for the next election, and he’ll claim he couldn’t make his promise come true because the conservatives were being obstructionists. The stoners, being too stoned will believe that explanation because they were too stoned to comprehend what a majority means.

        Which 680 News station?
        The commie CJOB in Winnipeg?
Anyway, I’m starting a new list of Liberal Broken Promises.
        This is the first one.
And anyone who believed it and voted for Liberals because of it will be severely disappointed.
Conservatives should ignore the issue except for pointing out the broken promise next election.

Toronto 680. The all news station that used to be CFTR back in the day.

  • The funny thing is that dope fiends wanted legalisation just so that they could pay taxes to the government.

    Drugs are bad, mkay?

    • Justin St.Denis

Your use of the antiquated term “dope fiend” seriously undermines whatever sentiment you are trying to express. Even in my childhood five decades ago, that term was only used still by the hysterical fringe.

      • Take a look at those who campaigned for the legalisation of marijuana and tell me what word or term would be apt.

If one’s life is dedicated to legalising drugs, there really is no sugar-coating it.

I thought dope fiend was a very old aeronautical term.

Justin should check into a re-hab facility and have his pee tested before being allowed to take office.

    • andycanuck

And all journalists too like they wanted to do to Mayor Ford.

  • andycanuck

Hey, there’s money to be made by Liberal Party leaders in this so they’ll do it no matter how half-assed etc.

  • David Murrell

Caught most of a CBC propaganda show — a full hour of the Fifth Estate on the all-news channel — on legalizing marijuana in Canada. Hosted by Mark Kelley, last night (October 25), it was utterly one sided, simply regurgitating talking points from Trudeau’s Liberal platform.
