The Pakistani Enemy We Don’t Discuss

If the State Department were serious about its State Sponsors of Terrorism designation, the list would have more than three names on it: Iran, Sudan, and Syria. The most prominent missing name? Pakistan.

We have almost completed the design of locomotive bogies for Pakistan, which we will be building and supplying to GE mid next year. It may be up to the Americans and us Australians to do the commissioning in Pakistan because the GE engineers from the Indian office, who would normally do the commissioning for projects outside America, are not allowed into Pakistan.

BTW, GE is the second-highest ‘customer’ (behind Boeing) of the Import-Export Bank – the Roosevelt Administration legacy – which conservative Republicans tried to de-fund earlier this year.

Ah, “moderate” frienemy Pakistan, one of those “friends” that makes one appreciate one’s enemies. Maybe President Trump will nuke Pakistan. 😉

If we put half the effort to maintain a good relationship with our traditional allies, we wouldn’t need to invent faux allies from the likes of Pakistan, Iran, and any other hell hole on earth.

True. Pakistan is an evil terrorist state with nukes but what about Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Arabia sponsors more islamic terrorists and their evil ideology than the rest of the islamic world combined. Saudi Arabia spends hundreds of billions of dollars annually on promoting the most barbaric and genocidal form of islam across the world and yet America and the West consider them as a valuable allies.

Obama says Islam is part of the solution, remember? :rolleyes
