Indonesia to close churches after pressure from violent supremacist Muslim groups

ACEH SINGKIL, Indonesia (Reuters)- – Authorities in Indonesia’s conservative Aceh province said on Sunday several Christian churches would be shut down this week, just days after a mob burned down a church, killing one person and injuring several others.

Tensions have been high among the ethnically and religiously diverse population of Aceh, raising the risk of further religious violence in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim population.

Don’t you love it in the MSM when “conservative” and “Islamic psychos” are synonymous.

I guess diversity is only OUR strength. To everyone else in the world is it’s a bit of a curse. Who would have thought?

Burn down one church and slaughter the congregation, and the authorities will oblige you by shutting down every church in the province.

This in the country that’s constantly trotted out as a shining example of a Moderate Muslim Nation.
