British ex-Guantanamo Bay detainee ‘joins Islamic State in Syria’

Muslim convert Jamal al Harith was freed from the US detention centre in Cuba in 2004 after the Government lobbied for his release.

But the 48-year-old is said to have joined ISIS fighters in Syria 18 months ago, according to Channel 4 News.

Manchester-born al Harith was imprisoned in Guantanamo because he had spent time in a Taliban prison in Afghanistan and was thought to have knowledge of taliban interrogation techniques.

Those damn Yanks MADE him a terrorist by keeping him in Guantanamo Bay for two years!
As I have been telling anyone that will listen, the only innocent men in Guantanamo Bay are the guards.
It’s a lot of time, trouble, and expense, to keep these animals there and not something we do capriciously.
In the future, we should never release names of terrorists captured on the field of battle, and after they are of no further intelligence value, and they are determined to be a terrorist, we need to execute them.
