I am embarrassed to be an Arab

I have long resisted saying this, but the ongoing Arab violence in Jerusalem has pushed Arab idiocy beyond my capacity for tolerance.  I now need to say it and to say it publicly: I am embarrassed to be an Arab.

From the start, we have refused to accept the existence of one tiny Jewish state. We fought that state tooth and nail using all the venom and anti-Semitism that we could muster. We isolated and mistreated our own Palestinian siblings so we could use them as tools against the Jews. We have not relented. We have not shown an ounce of compassion, humanity, or even smarts. We made the destruction of the Jewish home our signature cause. We made hate our religion. When will this nonsense stop?

Jerusalem belongs to the Jews, not only because it is rightfully theirs, but also because we don’t deserve any of it. Those of us Arabs who live in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza, would long ago have been deported if Jews behaved like us. Yet we keep pushing and pushing, hoping to break them.

The Jews will not break. They will not break in Jerusalem or anywhere else because they are much better than us. We will continue to wallow in our own victimhood complex while the Jews thrive, and this, my fellow Arabs, is all that we deserve.

    Good for him.

    • Alain

Yes, a rare case of sanity and honesty.

  • moraywatson

When will the nonsense stop? When there is no allah, and mohammed is not his messenger.

    • That’s pretty much it.

    • Blacksmith

I was going to say when pisslam was exterminated like the rabid dog it is but your way sounds a little more intelligently stated. 😉

      • moraywatson

        Your way works too.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      What god needs a messenger?

      • moraywatson

Apparently all of them. Even the false ones.

    • There is no Allah, and Mohamed was never his messenger since one cannot be the messenger of a non-existent figment of imagination.
What you meant, and I agree with, is that all this will end when Islam is wiped out from planet earth. This being unlikely to happen, since there are over a billion idiots who believe in it, the only way to stop it is to keep it out of Western countries, and let Muslims fester in their own compounds far from civilization.

And I’m embarrassed by Bing Arabic translations…

  • Cat-astrophe

Gee, must be a Christian Arab…..

  • Cat-astrophe

I wish the sponsor above “Check This, Yo!” would replace the pink hairless chimpanzee with something else. I feel like I got to donate to something…
Go with something like, “You won’t believe these 30 short skirts”……

  • eMan14

It’s a pretty fair and honest assessment. But it’s not just Arabs. Many of us in the West buy into it the victim-hood narrative. Antisemitism being the major reason.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      Don’t say us.
      Many in the West, yes.
      They aren’t us.

      • eMan14

I was kind of referring to the left… the progressives… you know the black sheep of our family.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

I have a sister who is a Liberal.
I’ll never say that she’s not welcome in my house.
But, in almost twenty years since I married my wife she has been to my house once.
And my mother has never been to my house.
And my father has idled in his car outside.
And I never visit them because fuck them I can take a hint.

    • Oracle9

I hesitate now even to bring up the subject of Israel to my friends, and the larger subjects of the jihad, the export of Islam to the West, Canada’s sacrifice defeating the Nazis, and Western culture’s culpability for creating all the evil in the world. The conversations just end up in arguments and there never is any progress over the years.

If I did I guess my real friends would be reduced to the number of my kids and only two or three friends who don’t exhibit this insanity.

      • Fran800

“Western culture’s culpability for creating all the evil in the world.”
Oh come on…! I don’t even want to be bothered answering that.

        • Oracle9

Fran800 – you troll this site – if you read anything on it you should have gathered by now that my comment reflects a very relevant truth.

Get out of the basement and talk to any other naive cultural Marxist – the country’s full of them. They will reflect the viewpoint to which I refer. And take note that all the anti-West incitement across the Middle East from the Muslim world is based on the same lie.

Have you heard that Christians especially in the Middle East (whose belief system is the source of secular human free Western societies, the gift of which you are a recipient) are experiencing a catastrophic era of martyrdom at the hands of muslims? It’s actually at the point where even the Russian leader has taken Obama to task in asking him if he’d realized what he’s done?

And here in the cloistered West – any public figure who would present Christian beliefs is persona non grata and his career is toast. The MP in my riding for example, after many years of good service to my community.

Have you noticed that ISIS is destroying Palmyra – a symbol of Western culture built by the Romans?

Have you noticed that they vow to swamp Europe, and that the leaders of Europe have surrendered and decided to give over their culture because of the guilt caused by that to which I have referred?

People like you who negate this trend with such arrogance show us that you enable it as an active part of our Fifth Column. Think about that.

When your children and grandchildren live under bondage, the blame will rest squarely on you and those like you who don’t have ears to hear, minds to comprehend or a spine to stand up against the threats faced by our culture.

Join our side or please leave! We can no longer afford to tolerate those in our midst who would try to distract us from the challenge we are facing.

          • Fran800

Well yes. I was being sarcastic. don’t think we are responsible for all the evil in the world, which is what i thought you said.
Of course, i suppose we are responsible for Cultural Marxism, and that is pretty evil.

          • Oracle9

What gets me is that most of my friends, who I respect and love, suffer from the effects of this propaganda. With such a large fifth column (albeit they cannot see that they are), we may not be able to protect the fragile gift of secular humanist society. The self-hatred is running from a phobia of Judeo-Christian morality to an aversion to doing anything, and being desensitized to, the daily atrocities carried out in the name of the jihad.

  • Abu Nudnik

“We isolated and mistreated our own Palestinian siblings so we could use them as tools against the Jews.” Never a truer word spoken. They sharpened them for killing as if they were bamboo sticks.

  • Norman_In_New_York

Nothing here to add but that the author is right.

  • BillyHW

If I were an Arab, I would be embarrassed too.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

If you were an Arab you would lack the capacity for shame.
Unless your women folk were sexually abused by someone outside of yourself or your immediate family.
And then instead of killing the perpetrator you’d have to kill your women folk because you failed to protect them.

    Roger Waters begs to differ

    • dance…dancetotheradio

Guys at work are always grooving to the sound of Pink Floyd on the 92 SHITI FM.
I always tell them Pink Floyd sucks.
And they’re like no man it’s the Floyd dude.
How can you hate the Floyd?
I tell them that Roger Waters is a flaming jew hater.
When it doesn’t faze them I start playing Wagner on the youtubes.

      • shasta

Celebrities and advertisers seem to think that if someone has a bit of talent in one area I should listen to them about everything else. This delusion elicits the exact opposite response from me; to the point that I will actively avoid whatever they are trying to sell me.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

          There are exceptions.
I still like listening to Wings even if I love a good baseball steak.
And somehow Morrissey is an insufferable bore and fascist.
The more I listen to the Smiths the less I like them and the more I see why Johnny Marr scarpered.

          • Justin St.Denis

Wings rocked! They were fantastic live! Always thought McCartney’s Wings material was among his best. LONDON TOWN is still a favourite album of mine.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            My fave is Ram.

          • John

            Naw, Venus and Mars

          • Justin St.Denis

RAM is my favourite Paul McCartney album. RAM is not by Wings, but is the only album by Paul & Linda McCartney.

Get the deluxe remastered edition of RAM. Absolutely fantastic.

The first Wings album was WILD LIFE, which is quite a maligned work. In hindsight, WILD LIFE is actually a fun little album full of little surprises. Wings’ first well-received hit release was Red Rose Speedway, another fantastic and under-rated release. Then came Band on the Run, Venus & Mars, etcetera.

Wings really did characterize the 1970s more than any other rock band. WINGS OVER AMERICA is one of the best in-concert rock releases of all time, IMHO.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

I do love Venus and Mars.
I think the last great thing he did was Rockestra Theme.
And then it wasn’t cool to like Wings anymore because I had been transformed by the Gospel of New Wave.

          • Justin St.Denis

May I suggest you give a fresh listen to the very under-rated last Wings studio album BACK TO THE EGG. It’s fantastic!

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            It is fantastic!
And this song is on it.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            ow low low low lah

          • dance…dancetotheradio

Also, Paul McCartney was the most consistent Beatle in the Seventies.
It speaks volumes to his contribution to the Beatles.

          • Justin St.Denis

I can’t argue with you on that point. You’re right.

          • marty_p

Howard Stern show staff managed to isolate (using some software) the voice of McCartney’s wife Linda on some of the songs – she sounded like a wounded cat in pain.

      • Justin St.Denis

Roger Waters makes me puke, too. But let’s be fair! Much of the Floyd catalog came AFTER Waters Keft the band. And I LOVE David Gilmour! Met the man twice, a genuine class act! Don’t boycott PF because of Waters. They are two different beasts.

Actually, I never got the Syd Barrett thing.
          I was too young.
I have listened to Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
          Rather liked it.

Sorry folks, I cursed him out when he told me that Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer were despicable Islamophobes.
