Footage of Russian Hind helicopter gunships firing rockets at ‘US-backed Syrian rebels’

Dramatic footage shows Russian helicopters firing rockets on a Syrian town which is believed to be occupied by United States-trained rebel fighters.

This scum is the same. It makes no difference if they were US trained or not. They are not allies.

Thanks BCF. I would have had no idea that Syria/Iraq had sophisticated grain terminals like that.
If having those type of manned aerial hunter killer machines looking for you does not smarten them up…
    …What will?

    • What I don’t understand is where all the shoulder fired anti-air missiles have gotten to. Weren’t several truckloads supposed to have been liberated from Gaddafi’s arsenal and shipped hither and yon throughout the ME?

      • El Martyachi

If ya haven’t already.. read the Stinger manual sometime (it’s online). Unless someone’s specifically undertaken that training it’s highly unlikely they’d be up to it.

      • El Martyachi

… maybe that’ll get answered when some cargo plane goes down shortly after takeoff…

      • El Martyachi

Oh nevermind.. they’re SOVIET manpads. Prolly point and shoot…

      • pike bishop

I’m no expert (I did read RKB’s magazine SOF from almost day one)).
The helos are flying low & fast, zig-zagging & shooting lots of flares.
Might be too low for them to lock on but they probably get one.

        • Minicapt

The Russians lost more than 100 Hinds in Afghanistan after the arrival of the Stinger. Apparently their Lessons Learned capability is still functioning.

          Cheers

          • pike bishop

I heard or read that there was a lot more than 100 downed hinds, which was not an issue back then. The stingers could take out jets and that changed the game.

          • Minicapt

            No, but you wouldn’t know.

            Cheers

          • pike bishop

That’s right Mini. You are the go to on all things military because you have a picture of an apc on your avatar. I said I read SOF and was no expert. Please…can I kiss your limey ass guvner.

          • Minicapt

Let me explain: the vehicle is not a APC, it is a Cougar. And I do have useful knowledge on military topics, because I studied and worked on such. And I’m not a “limey”.
            You, however, shall remain ignorant.

            Cheers

          • pike bishop

A cougar eh, looks like a sabre tooth. OK Mr. studied & worked on such. I defer to your Patton like knowledge of military strategy and tactics and technology. Please advise me the next time you win a war or even a barracks pillow fight.

          • pike bishop

I’ve always heard that the more soldiers did the less they talked. Is that true?

          • pike bishop

Please, let me be bathed in your light.

          • pike bishop

Were you there…at the Battle of Dunkirk? When a bunch of limeys tucked tail.

          • pike bishop

Army talk: Apparent Lessons Learned capability functioning (still).
            Translation to English:
Tough Afghans kick Canadians and all others out of their country.

          • Minicapt

            Nope.

            Cheers

The Obama trained rebels took the missiles when they went to join ISIS.

      • Raymond Hietapakka

So the USA gave Libyan leader Khqhadaffphi tons of sophisticated Stinger missiles??? The Russkies had FOF technology built into their AA weapons at least as far back as the Chechnyan War…so Russian MANPADS might not work against Russian sircraft

      • Solo712

That was long time ago. Now, the heavier stuff are shipped through Turkey. I watched a video with a top Russian military analyst earlier in the year who said the reason the Syrian army does not do large-scale offensive operations is the number of anti-tank tows that the rebels and ISIS possess. Clearlz, the Russian strategy is to deplete their CCs, munitions and equipment before handing the field to Assad ‘s army to make them them run.

        • El Martyachi

… as an aside. (At least) as late as the 90’s, Syrian high schools had live fire anti-tank weapon training for students.

    • El Martyachi

… not gonna speculate on what will smarten them up.. but …clearly…. yelling “allahu ackbar” all the time doesn’t do it.

      • pike bishop

I cannot and will not watch the decapitation videos. I probably should not say this this but the white man must run rule. I saw a guy (family man) from Israel on TV saying that ISIS was forty miles from his front door.

  • eMan14

I see that Obama has their, his allies, back too. They must be full of confidence.

  • Norman_In_New_York

The Russians will soon learn that the only way to win this war is to gain and hold ground.

  • Putin Akbar.

    • Minicapt

      Vlad the Arab?

      Cheers

  • Barry Thornton

Firing on the US trained rebels, do you mean all 4 of them?

    • Solo712

There are only two left now. One decided to emigrate to Europe, the other one..well we don’t know exactly what happened to him, but he was into wearing high heels.

  • Jay Currie

    Well, that’s how it’s done.

A fact the US military is well aware of. The Coward in Chief, not so much.

Shock and awe. Used to be a US thing.

  • favill

WOLVERINES!!!! (the original Red Dawn)….this time I’m rooting for the Russians.

  • May they all burn in hell where they rightly belong.
