These Toyota trucks are popular with terrorists — here’s why

“This is a question we’ve been asking our neighbors,” Faily told ABC. “How could these brand-new trucks … these four-wheel drives, hundreds of them — where are they coming from?”

They are also easy to steal.

And my guess of “they work better than the ones made by over-unionized North American eff-ups” looks like the correct one.

So Toyota has no idea how ISIS is buying them brand new? They think they are using middle men?

How about this idea, anyone who comes in and buys a fleet of new trucks should be carefully looked at. It’s not like ISIS is buying them in 1’s and 2’s.

      We need a truck registry.

      • Exile1981

Not a truck registry; bad idea.
More like Toyota just needs to stop playing dumb.

It is not Toyota’s job to vett their customers.
Their job is to make and sell trucks, period.

Yes, but every company should be making sure they are not helping to arm a terrorist group.

Or do you believe that companies like ruger and colt should be free to sell arms to ISIS?

          • FactsWillOut

That needs a state-issue end-user certificate. ISIS is armed with AR-15’s.

Thorough background checks for anyone buying anything is obviously the answer.

Omar’s used truck dealership does not ask where you come from, don’t ask where the trucks come from. The Iraqi government is missing a few thousand trucks they sent to Mosul before the US left but as the US paid for them they don’t really care.

Don’t sell them truck parts. Tacos eat front wheel bearings and rear springs.
