Kenya accuses UN staff in Dadaab refugee camp of aiding al-Shabaab terrorists

Kenya’s interior minister has suggested United Nations staff working with refugees in the country’s massive Dadaab camp are “facilitating terrorist activities”.

Joseph Nkaissery, the secretary for internal security, hinted that some employees of the UN’s refugee agency, the UNHCR, might face arrest for either direct involvement in planning terror attacks or failing to act against those planning them.

“We are very concerned about the alleged involvement or complacency of some UNHCR personnel, who facilitate terrorist activities in this country,” he told a meeting of the UNHCR in Switzerland.

  • Ron MacDonald

No surprise there, the UN has been infiltrated by Islamists.

  • Shebel

Time to send in Romeo Dallaire.
He knows all about the UN and how to be a Coward.

    • Doug Kursk

Cowards die a thousand deaths…I know plenty of current and ex-service men who believe Dallaire should have waded in to help those Belgian paras, even at the cost of his own life.

It is his own inaction that haunts him, nothing more.

      • Millie_Woods

Yes, his inaction haunts him but there is more. Dallaire had to choose between doing what he knew was right and following orders. He made the easy choice and is living with that knowledge. He did not run and hide like a coward, he pleaded with his superiors before and during the slaughter for permission to take direct action and was refused every time. Out of all the actors in that tragedy, the UN, the Hutu’s and the Clinton administration, Dallaire is the only one losing any sleep over it.

  • How can that woman depicted in the photo above possibly be a refugee? She doesn’t have cell phone and designer luggage.

    • She’s giving refugees a bad name!

      • Shebel

Actually, she does look like one—-

  • Martin B

Was there ever any doubt that the UN is a sinister organization?

  • Shebel

The Lady and child in the PIC are what most people think of as refuges and want to help.
This Syrian business is pure BS.
Maybe it is a good thing that the civilized world gets to witness its’ own demise.

  • tom_billesley

Have they been building rocket stores schools like UNRWA?

    • Shebel

      Just say what you mean.

    • Shebel

Are you one of these ‘do-gooders’ that love everybody?

  • BillyHW

Why are we still funding the UN?

    • Shebel

      Beats me.

    • Women, Billy. Women.

      • BillyHW

        I knew it.

  • infedel

You know what–fix your own stuff already.

    • Shebel

      Why are you cranky ?

      • infedel

Yeah, a little or a lot tonight; just tired of fixing third word poop for them over here and over there. Aren’t we supposed to cranky for Halloween?

        • Shebel

)))) Not unless you are a witch.

Doesn’t surprise me at all – in the 80’s I visited Rosh Hanikra on the Israel Lebanon border. UN staffers would park their white SUV’s on the Lebanese side of the border and had to walk across and get in the equivalent vehicle parked on the Israeli side to continue on their journey. So I asked what was up and was told the Israeli’s caught UN staff smuggling weapons for terrorists in UN vehicles – so they simply stopped the ability of the vehicles to cross the border.
