About time for this…

A cruel, greedy, selfish monster: A peace-loving visionary? No, argues a blistering book. John Lennon was a nasty piece of work who epitomised our age of self-obsession

the self indulgence wailing of a childish man. god I had forgotten how nasty that jerk was.

      • He was not the Idol history has painted him as.

If you want to be a hero just follow me? That narcissist is the last person anyone should want to follow.

I think his line in that song, says what he thought of the average person: “But you’re still f*cking peasants as far as I can see”

He was a washed up rock star still living an opulent life. What does one seriously expect?

George and Ringo were both involved with this track as well and they were the nice ones. Paul was and is a dick too

a couple best forgotten now i have to start the process all over again.

  • Good thing nobody found out about this until now. Somebody might have tried to assassinate him!

    • UCSPanther

It was said that Lennon in his later years picked up an addiction to heroin. If it weren’t for his chance encounter with that crazy, his addiction could have made him share the same fate as Jim Morrison…

Yoko Dildo destroyed a very good musician AND broke up the Beatles.

I love watching lefties eat each other.
Of course Lennon was an arsehole; he was a superstar and a leftie. Doesn’t get much more egregious than that.
But, at the end, he went Republican, if you can credit it. If Chapman hadn’t got him, his wife probably would’ve.

My mother remembers that “Give peace a chance” bed in, and she considered it a joke back in the day.

To me, it is a symbol of an era that can’t be forgotten soon enough. Historians will be looking back at that time and perhaps wondering what was going through our collective heads then.

What wasn’t going through our collective heads? THC, LSD, etc.

One side effect of the hippie era was the more widespread acceptance of substance abuse in all its forms.

Some say that the Summer of Love has become the Winter of Addiction, and it has been a long winter indeed…

  • People have been saying things like that for a long time.

Read “John” by Cynthia Lennon. He wasn’t a very nice person at all. Yoko was the icing on the nasty cake.

I actually can remember that and I thought ‘What an asshole’. Guess that I was Right.

Never much cared for the Beatles or, particularly Lennon, and Yoko has a rather droopy ass.

Yoko? – Not with a frozen rope.
