Second German woman evicted from her home to make way for refugees

A woman in Germany is being evicted from her home of 23 years to make way for asylum-seekers, in the second such case to emerge.

Gabrielle Keller has been given until the end of the year to leave her flat in the small southern town of Eschbach, near the border with France.

The flat belongs to the local municipality, which says it is needed to house refugees.

“I think it’s a scandal to throw tenants out of their apartments,” the 56-year-old Ms Keller told SWR television. “I can’t see the sense of it.”

Because that’s what it’s like when you are “replaced” and made redundant.

    • Unbelievable.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

I bet she even voted for Angela Merkel too.

      • Alain

No really since we are seeing the same thing happening here in Canada.

        • Ottawa Eyes

And nobody dare speak about that apparent policy with the Toronto Community Housing Corporation owned by the city.

        • lolwut?

The Salvation Army did it in Vancouver when the boat from Sri Lanka showed up.

They kicked nearly 100 people out onto the street from one of their hostels downtown.

Not a peep from your homeless advocates.

          • disqusW6sf

And I suppose they did not find alternative accommodation for those they kicked out.

          • lolwut?

There was a mad scramble by other agencies to do so, but many ended up on the street for several days anyways.

The whole thing was ignored by the media and the housing advocates of course kept their mouths shut about the whole thing because for obvious reasons.

Lady, you don’t want to be in that apartment or any where near it when it fills up with all those fun new neighbors.

    • V10_Rob

An apartment owned by the municipality would seem to suggest that the rest of the building is also owned by them.

Other tenants getting the boot, or are they locked into longer-term leases that the city can’t break yet? Or maybe her residence is just a one-off in the building (eg. the main floor is a commercial space, the second floor is a residential space).

    • Millie_Woods

That was the first thing I thought. But I’m glad she’s going public with her story.

No German politicians or journalists will ever be evicted from their homes to make way for Mohammedans, that’s for certain. They’ll just cheerlead for the evictions of others.

    • V10_Rob

From the related article about the first woman being evicted:

“There have even been suggestions of a return to the solution of the
postwar years, when millions of refugees fleeing to West Germany from
former Nazi-held lands were billeted with ordinary families.”

I’m going to need to make a couple trips to Costco. I can’t even fathom how much popcorn I’d need to sit back and watch such a spectacle.

  • If I understand things, she has already rented the apartment. On what legal grounds can they remove her? Because they said so?

    • V10_Rob

Says they gave her notice that she has until the end of the year. I’m assuming there’s a clause in the lease agreement that says they can turf her for any reason if they give her sufficiently long notice (ie, 90 days, by the sound of it).

      • If so, then she should move into a nice house in the country.

    • Ottawa Eyes

Presumably on the authority of “allah”.

As these things come to life, I anxiously await the next beer hall putsch.

So if you are a Landlord –you will be able to evict all your low life tenants and fill them with migrants and the rent is guaranteed by the government.
This is a really good deal .

    • V10_Rob

Guess it depends on the quality of your rental property and the income bracket of your tenants. Slummy rental properties with a high turn over, where you’re not worried about proper maintenance and upkeep, sure, looks sweet. If it’s a property you could conceivably want to live in yourself…

Plenty of horror stories in the States of people who rented out to their properties to Section 8 housing.

      • Blacksmith

        My thoughts exactly.

  • Ho Hum

We haven’t gone quite this far in Canada (yet!) but in Toronto 1,000’s of muslim “refugees” are being given public housing that was intended for needy Canadians who are on ten year waiting lists. One of the largest public housing complexes – Regent Park – is about 65% muslim “refugees”. It is huge and growing problem that is being almost completely ignored.

    • Ottawa Eyes

I wonder if they do the same thing that happens in private housing, where they all chip in to rent one or two of the apartments to become 24-hours mosques designed to drive out the non-muslim residents with all the traffic.

You can spot these apartments because they usually nail bare fluorescent lamps to the walls and those lights are on 24 hours every day.

      • Ho Hum

Actually the city housing authority gave the Muslims FREE SPACE in the basements of THREE of the apartment buildings in Regent Park! The spaces are fitted out as Mosques complete with Wudu facilities!

Here is one of the mosques

    • lolwut?

      Actually we have.

The Salvation Army did in Vancouver when the boat from Sri Lanka showed up.

They kicked nearly 100 homeless people out onto the street from one of their hostels downtown to make room for them,

This is the one I know about, but I’m sure it’ happened before.

Awesome. Next up, homeowners tossed out at gunpoint, followed by conversion to Islam to qualify for benefits, and ultimately, citizenship.

  • marty_p

Didn’t the Germans do this before – I believe the term used was Juden Raus – and Germans moved in to the apartments, houses and businesses? It proves the old adage what goes around comes around.

  • Justin St.Denis

I wonder if moves like this by the government will awaken The Sleeping Hun (TM pending).

  • Millie_Woods

I wonder if any people of colour are being evicted from their homes?

  • cinderellafe

Notice how those who have come forward are both Obamanomics “Julia.” In the end, her statist government treats her no better than a battered wife or girlfriend — campaign promises to do better and learn their civil rights lessons in an eco-friendly way for a sustainable relationship built upon mutual blah blah *KAPOW* Are you going to get back together with your ex or check out all the “moderate” Islamist Free Syrian Army draft dodgers new in town? He’s a cheater you say and thus AWOL from the Syrian Armed Forces? Sexy. Remember, Jeb! Bush calls it an “act of love.”

When the nation state is being engineered as collateral damage by the crony corporatists on the altar of EU Region blocs, then prepare to billet the New EU Military Defeat Device (take that industrial espionage VW): bad boys with a high incentive for conflict. After all, if you are going to maintain as the industry standard (looting infrastructure), you need unattached males with a desire for vengeance not credentialed natives.

And isn’t it just like the International Left to roll out the red carpet (and celebrity nude selfies) for draft dodgers. How Canadian, eh?
