Militant attack fear: UK, US, Canada alert citizens in Bangladesh

The United Kingdom, United States and Canada have warned their citizens of militant attacks in Bangladesh, asking them to limit their movements.

Referring to Australian government’s advisory for its citizens that Australian interests might become the targets of militants, the three countries alerted their citizens that the militants may target other foreigners as well.

The directives came after an Italian national named Cesare Tavella was shot dead in Dhaka’s Gulshan diplomatic zone Monday evening.

The 50-year-old Italian was working as the project manager of Profitable Opportunities for Food Security (Proofs), a project of Netherlands-based organisation ICCO Cooperation since May.
