Popey Changey urges action on climate during White House visit

Pope Francis has called for further action on climate change saying that it was “a critical moment of history”, on the first day of his visit to the US.

Speaking to a crowd of more than 11,000 people on the White House South Lawn, the pontiff said the problem could “no longer be left to a future generation”.

President Barack Obama said the Pope reminded people “that we have a sacred obligation to protect our planet”.

I used to be a Roman Catholic. This moron has finished off my beliefs in this regard; he’s beneath contempt.

A happy reunion of two commies, what more could one expect.

    • Amazing that the most noble Pope of our lifetime — Pope John-Paul II — had the cojones to stand up to the commies and precipitate the unthinkable: the Berlin wall crumbling to the ground and freedom from Communism only 25 years ago. While Pope Francis may in fact do the opposite and precipitate the commies’ erection of even more powerful and globalizing ideological barriers to freedom.

  • “A moral obligation” to preach the gospel of climate change? One could probably justifiably claim that Christians have an obligation to conserve our natural environment as much as anyone else, and it’s certainly Biblical to do things that contribute to one’s personal health and biological well-being. But what does “climate change” activism have to do with a healthy environment?

What does swapping carbon credits on the global market have to do with anything specific to conserve the natural environment; such as reforestation, developing better anti-pollution technology, and better recycling? What does subjecting “capitalists” to the whims of dictatorial Socialists on a global scale have to do with anything specific for the environment? CO2 is the least threatening of all pollutants, and it’s actually not a pollutant in its current or predictable concentrations (0.04%?) — all plant life on earth would die without sufficient CO2.

But the most important question is, why the heck is the Pope talking about something that at best will be remembered in history as “a wildly out-of-contol pseudo-scientific myth from the early 21st Century”? It’s simply delusional to think that any sort of ideology can unite the entire “Global Community” together in homogeneous oneness — the more that Socialists impose and enforce their “peaceful” solutions around the globe, the more adverserial, violent, and war-like humans are becoming everywhere, and the “dirtier” the earth is becoming. Both figuratively and literally.

If the Pope has read the Bible then he should be familiar with the prophetic verse: “When they say ‘peace, peace’, then sudden destruction will come”.
