Danish People’s Party: Refugees to Greenland

The anti-immigration Danish People’s Party is ready to accept a “national compromise” on refugees – as long as it involves housing them in Greenland and then sending them back home.

    It’s a beautiful solution.

Lots of hungry polar bears in Greenland…

I’m a big fan of Greenland, and hate to dissent here, but the Greenlanders (mostly Innuit) have a say in immigration policies. I am not sure that they would facilitate a welcoming multicultural integration of Syrian Muslim culture with Inuit culture.

This WIki entry describes the Viking settlements in Greenland, between 970Ad and 1400 AD. Some say that the Thule Innuit at the time drove the Vikings back to Iceland and Norway, but there is a debate about this:

      It’s NIMBY at it’s best

Actually the Vikings drove out the Alban, and took their settlements over
just as they invaded Iceland, the end of the north atlantic warming finished
      any Greenland settlements

Most of the “official” history of the ancient North atlantic is debatable and
based on politics and not facts.

The Vikings are way overrated their accomplishments, like the muslims
they were only good at raiding and robbery

Yeah, in old Europe the Vikings were the bad guys, but in Greenland and North America, I would consider them the good guys, since they faced steep odds in fighting Indians.

p.s., when the Vikings came to Iceland, it was uninhabited — but some sketchy evidence says that Gaelic monks were there before, but nothing is proven:

That is the official history, I would offer this for your consideration.

Iceland was uninhabited, or unpopulated after the Vikings came not before. It was inhabitated by people fleeing
the Vikings and europe and seeking walrus over a few hundred years.

Monks usually means Industry, commerce and trade,
in fact towns, in this case trading walrus ivory++ to europe
          Iron goods to the North.

However killing the walruses was killing the goose that
laid the golden egg, as the herds thinned and were followed west, the Vikings also when west after thinning
the wealth and health of Europe

Iron weapons vs flint and maybe copper, the Indians were no match for Europeans…ever. The European influx into America ended due to climate change* and more importantly economic change, the walrus ivory trade
          became unprofitable.

I would only support it if it was temporary as in a camp until they are deported. I think they could find a calving glacier to provide a place for them.

  • Canada can do the same in Baffin Island. If Naomi Klein is right about the global warming, the muzzies will have a very pleasant life. Besides, they can convert all seals to Islam.

As long as you don’t feed them Shepherd’s Pie or Fish and Chips.

Illegal immigrants from more than 80 countries have complained about being served food that is too British as they await deportation.
Nearly three quarters of the 575 men housed at one removal centre – half of which have criminal convictions – told inspectors they were not happy with the food.
Rather than traditional prison fare such as shepherd’s pie or fish and chips, the Verne Immigration Removal Centre in Dorset has now been told to serve up ‘more culturally diverse’ dishes in an effort to cater to the huge range of nationalities.

I like this thinking outside the box cutters.

Let them build their own huts too with winter coming on it should provide some motivation.

I’ve been recommending Baffin Island and Ellesmere Island for years. But Greenland is relatively heavily populated. It is decidedly not fair or wise to bring aggressive Muslims to a place where the population is rather gentle, peaceful, and not pushy.
