Russia Warns US Over Involvement In Syria

Russia called on Friday for military-to-military cooperation with the United States to avert “unintended incidents” as it stages navy exercises off the coast of Syria, where U.S. officials believe Moscow is building up forces to protect President Bashar al-Assad.

The United States is using Syrian air space to lead a campaign of air strikes against Islamic State, and a greater Russian presence raises the prospect of the Cold War superpower foes encountering each other on the battlefield.

Both Moscow and Washington say their enemy is Islamic State. But Russia supports the government of Assad, while the United States says his presence makes the situation worse.

From the leader who could do no wrong because he is not Obama to Obama who “transmits” things to Putin.

Watch the train wreck from afar.

Well, Putin doesn’t have to worry about Canada. White feather Tom and his buddy Justin both want to end bombing in Syria.

    • mobuyus

They may even right now be contemplating Russian help in ousting Harper. I wouldn’t put it past those two communists.

        Communists is right.

The difference between communism and capitalism is with communism you have man abusing man and with capitalism it’s vise versa.

            Capitalism:
            financial risk= financial reward

            Communism:
            Party Subservient membership= financial reward

It was only an old soviet joke.

At the risk of sounding like a nutcase, isn’t this all outlined in the Book of Revelation in regards to Russia and its alliance with islam against Israel.

    • Probably.

There is more than one apocalyptic vision in the Bible that fits these events.

Isn’t it a good thing that Russia is supporting the Assad regime? Wouldn’t Assad being in power right now be better for us? Isn’t Assad one of the few opposition forces to the people who are now invading Europe and North America. I don’t think Assad was ever our enemy, and Assad is fighting the enemy we want destroyed. I don’t see a down side here.

The only beef I have with the Russians is that they think they own the North Pole.
That leads to my belief that Canada isn’t doing enough to assert it’s claim.

      • mobuyus

The Russians will hope for a trudeau or ndp government for a more equitable outcome on the North Pole file.

Destroying the arab dictators and releasing Islam on the world is the
      objective of “arab spring”

        And obama.

        • FactsWillOut

Harper helped to liberate the Libyan Jihadists.

    • Assad brought stability.

That is the extent of his “goodness”.

      • canminuteman

That’s enough goodness for me. We can see what these people are like without that stability. We and the rest of the world are better off with it.

    • African

Exactly so! May God bless president Putin and the good people of Russia for standing up for common sense and for sanity in their support for Assad. May God curse America and the West for their continuous evil support of ISIS and other islamo-fascist groups and states that are murdering tens of thousands of Christians every year! SHAME ON AMERICA! SHAME ON THE WEST! SHAME ON NATO!

  • Ron MacDonald

Chicken-shit Obama will acquiesce to Putin’s demands.

  • FactsWillOut

Russia wants the secular dictatorship of Assad to stay in power, you know, the guy who defended Christians and Jews in Syria, the guy with Christians in his government? The US government and NATO would prefer yet another Sharia/Jihadist pesthole like Iraq, Libya and Kosovo, like they tried for in Egypt.

    • African

SO TRUE! GOD BLESS YOU FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH AND LET US PRAY THAT RUSSIA WINS THIS.

Putin props up Assad while buckwheat and Lurch prop up ISIS, doesn’t look good. I’ll back Putin not that he needs it.
