Trudeau’s climate change promise is hot air

Every time Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is asked what his target and deadlines are for reducing Canada’s industrial greenhouse gas emissions linked to climate change, he ducks the question.

  • The biggest thing you can do to reduce your carbon footprint is eat vegan.

Until I see these global warming clowns at the local vegan restaurant, they are nothing but a bunch of – greenie weenie – hypocrites.

    • Justin St.Denis

Agreed. Raising cattle for food is among the single worst investments in agricultural sectors today. That is why I hunt. Plus, there is no better burger than one made with ground moose meat! And rabbit tastes delicious!

I’m too squeamish to hunt or fish.
I love the chase but then you have to do that cutting them up thing.
I’ve often wondered, once you factor in all the costs of the gear and the gas and your time is it really cost effective?

        • Justin St.Denis

Very cost effective. Plus, I don’t do the actual butchering myself. I have an actual butcher do that. But one moose can feed a family for a winter.

      Wait a minute.
I’ve been reading lately that lettuce is very wasteful.
Ninety percent water and buggerall for nutrition.
      Huge footprint.

      • Justin St.Denis

So does raising meat, which actually costs far more than we pay for it. Meat is subsidized by government. If it wasn’t for that, hamburger meat would cost about $20/lb. I kid you not.

So, in a way, the hotel and restaurant industry is also subsidized.

          • Justin St.Denis

            I guess, in a way.

Point is also that dedicating and to grazing cattle is nota very good (efficient) use of the land. In Brazil, the demand for such land poses a significant risk to rain forests. It keeps going round and round.

BTW, you don’t need to be vegan; lacto-ovo vegetarian is good enough. Plus, vegans almost always looks like they are at death’s door.

I learned a lot about this for a weird reason: I cannot consume any beef or beef products. I am a HUGE fan of lamb, regardless of how cute they are. And wild fowl. Common chicken and turkey products are just a commercial growth hormone stew.

          • “Plus, vegans almost always looks like they are at death’s door.”

            Not so fast.

I dare you to look at this 72 year old vegan woman and say that.

          • Justin St.Denis

And there are exceptions to every rule. Didn’t you know that or are you 14 years old?

  • Chris

Save the planet, eat a liberal

    • Minicapt

      Need more Guinness.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      I don’t eat vegans.

      • Justin St.Denis

Too gamey tasting since you always have to nail them in flight! Vegans are fearful of carnivores, let alone cannibals!
