The Horror!

Lawyer accused of sexism after complimenting barrister on ‘stunning’ LinkedIn picture

  • Millie_Woods

Lawyer on lawyer fight, I can’t get worked up about this. She looks like a bitch though.

    • Justin St.Denis

Millie, do you think Donald Trump could “get away” with referring to Hillary Clinton as a “bitch” in a debate or discussion of any kind? I mean, I KNOW the Left would be apoplectic, but would ordinary citizens object to hearing Donald say aloud what so many have been thinking for decades? I would love to hear your take on this one, because I suspect that such a circumstance just might happen in the coming months.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Dear God I so hope he calls Hillary a bitch.
The auditorium (and America) would erupt in applause.

        • Justin St.Denis

That is what I am thinking, too.

  • Cheryl

She’s over-reacting, certainly (lighten up, lady) but doesn’t she have a point as well, when she writes “I am on linked-in for business purposes not to be approached about my physical appearance ….”

Sure, if the tables were turned and a woman had made the comment to a male, no one would bat an eye, but it would still be wrong – leave the socializing to social sites, not business ones.

It was an inappropriate comment (not to mention just plain stupid: he should have known better – and in fact, he did, as indicated by his noting that it was “politically incorrect”.)

    • Drunk_by_Noon

      She’s a c*nt.
      Nothing more than that.
Any nutcase psycho bitch that files a complaint against a man who compliments her photograph is an unstable bitch that needs to be shown the door and not accommodated.
Her attitude is not merely “politically correct”, it is insanity.

      • I agree it is nuts.

      • infinite_whizdom

you’re a disgusting c*nt. i say GO GIRL. that bitch gone go faaar! the lesbians and the dykes and the blacks and the arabs and even the feminists are taking over. so suck it b*tch. i’ll file a complaint if your dirty penis-toter’s breath even disperses in my direction. filthy filthy nasty cheese dicks.

    • Justin St.Denis

Yes, she DOES have a point, but she is overreacting. And this guy is something of an idiot for not having foreseen the fallout from his action.

Do you think her hair is real, BTW. My wife says “wig” – something about the “bangs” looks synthetic.

      • Dana Garcia

Yes, I noticed that too. I’ve seen furniture with that fiber.

        • Exile1981

Are you using the term “furniture” to refer to her as in the usage from soylent green?

      • andycanuck

And she’s got on too much makeup! 🙂

      • Frances

Given the impeccable “hairdo” and makeup, not to mention professional pose, what impression did this woman expect to make? That picture does not scream “hard-working, professional lawyer”.

    • I agree, you are correct in principle. But then maybe she should do her part and at least wear a burka!

    • lolwut?

The problem is, if she found him attractive it would have been a thank you
      and not a complaint.

That’s usually the deciding factor in women’s reactions to compliments on appearance…… if they don’t like you it’s sexual harassment, if they do then
then it’s all good, give me more!

      • True ’nuff. The guy is a bit of an old fart, in a penguin skin. And definitely not Tom Selleck.

      • Cheryl

You’re right about that, and it’s hypocritical. I just think this sort of thing should be stopped, period. But that said, how do you suppose guys would feel if women were frequently making remarks about how good looking they were, or how tall, or strong, or whatever? It gets really annoying after a little bit and besides, men are generally physically stronger than women so there is an implied threat in this sort of thing, whether one is intended or not. Socializing between the genders should be restricted to places which are obviously kosher for that: parties, bars, social sites, whatever.

        • lolwut?

          Get over it.

And stop spending 50 hours of the week in front of the mirror
if you’re so concerned about it… and don’t make pouty faces
when a guy doesn’t look at you on the street or kicking in the little girl voice when a cop pulls you over for speeding…

You don’t like it when it doesn’t suit you.. woman love equality and all
that until it smacks them upside the head.

  • jayme

I bet she has no children and will never have them – only a hunch. Just as well too: She’s uptight, humorless and rather full of herself, by the sound of it.

    • Justin St.Denis

Or maybe she was on LinkedIn for purely professional reasons, like most others.

Sorry, but there is a time and place to “troll” the opposite sex, and LinkedIn is NOT it. That is not rocket science, just common sense, which this dude clearly lacks despite the law degree.

  • How asinine is feminism going to become? I guess about THAT asinine!

I guess men should start saying from now on, “what a butt-ugly picture of you”, or “what a bunch of rags you are wearing today”, or “your makeup makes you look like like a clown”.

    • lolwut?

“Hold your owning fucking door bitch”

  • Justin St.Denis

Given the current climate in the public sphere, this dude rather asked for what he’s getting. I am not defending current hysteria about nonsense such as this, but nonsense such as this is INFINITELY PREDICTABLE, rather like some people we can identify by name/handle.

    • Drunk_by_Noon

Even if he was hitting on her, how the hell is that “sexist” or even wrong?
She deserves to have her career sidelined, like she’s trying to do to him.
Odds are she’s an emotionally unstable man-hating lesbian.

      • Justin St.Denis

Wrong place, wrong time. Just wrong. Common sense would have informed him of this. Clearly, he has none.

      • Justin St.Denis

I did not say it was sexist. Under the circumstances, it was inappropriate. However, she overreacted, there is no doubt about that. Frankly, they are both short few dots on their dice.

      • infinite_whizdom

someone’s sexually frustrated. why don’t you just go walk your dog and hush sweety? i’m pretty sure bella bambina made a new video “special for youuuu” on

you…. you… you disgusting MAN you!

  • lolwut?

And how much you want to bet she spent 6 hours preening in front of the mirror the day that picture was taken…

Gotta love the female brain and “Logic”.

Hold the door, you’re a sexist asshole.
Don’t hold the door and you’re still an asshole.

  • The Butterfly

I think somebody needs to spend some time in ISIS controlled territory to learn what sexism is really about.

  • solid response BCF!

  • Chris

Now I know where my missing salad bowl went…….stunning? This man needs to lay off the red wine and viagra.

  • Typical modern day, always offended, BITCH.

May she have a flat tire, while alone, in a bad part of town.

  • Edubeat

Mae West said it best when she said “It was better to be looked over than overlooked.”

  • lolwut?
    • Brenda

No, the stupid boy will let his life be controlled by the thing in his underpants. His choice.

  • bargogx1

“I am on linked-in for business purposes not to be approached about my physical appearance”

If she had left it at that I’d be 100% in support of her. Unfortunately, that was followed by a bunch of feminist SJW crap that I just cannot stomach, so I’m going to have to side with the guy.
