Past and Present Persecution: Why Non-Muslims Convert to Islam

What made non-Muslims convert to Islam, leading to the creation of the Islamic world?

Early historical sources — both Muslim and non-Muslim –make clear that the Islamic empire was forged by the sword; that people embraced Islam, not so much out of sincere faith, but for a myriad of reasons — from converting in order to enjoy the boons of being on the “winning team” to converting in order to evade the dooms of being on the “losing team.”

At the other end you can be killed as an apostate for leaving islam.

If the Apostate clause was removed I have no doubt that Islam would be reduced to about 200,000,000 followers or which the majority would practise it as a Death-Cult that threatens the World.

It concerns me that there are those who convert out of fear. A “religion” based on that alone is doomed to fail. But those who willingly convert to Islam these day’s totally baffle me. They’re just a bunch of sick puppies. Societal rejects.
