Many Hispanics want Pope Francis to address Trump on immigration

Karla Perez loves Pope Francis. Like her, he’s a native Spanish speaker. He is also the first Latin American to lead the Catholic Church, and he talks easily about soccer and prefers public buses to luxury cars.

Most of all, though, Perez loves this pope because he has made better treatment of immigrants a centerpiece of his two-year-old papacy.

She hopes, as do many of the nearly 30 million Hispanic Catholics in the country, that this month’s visit by Francis will change the tone of the nation’s divisive immigration debate.

Wait, shouldn’t Francis be down on Europe’s southern border, which is rather busy with illegal aliens these days? There are plenty of Africans and Middle Easterners to be welcomed to the continent. The pope’s fancy cathedrals can be turned into flophouses for needy muslims, as some already have.

The Vatican could be one huge Sanctuary City so we can see how long HE puts up with illegals murdering Nuns and pumping out babies the HE must pay the Bill for .

re Europe.. where do all the boats come from? why have they not run out of them?
do they walk from Syria? how do the pay for transportation? train? where are border police?

.. i can’t go to for beer & wings at Anchor Bar in Buffalo without a passport.

      • Dana Garcia

I see the front page of the NYTimes has an interesting headline: “Crisis Tests Core European Value: Open Borders”

        What a ridiculous “core value.”

But then I appreciate borders. Maybe that comes from visiting the edge of Arizona — well armed, I might add.

        • mauser 98

yes : “Core European Value” ..hell fire,, the sheep shaggers are the ones invading
          more media torque, spin propaganda
Stinks..something else much bigger going on here.. this would not be happening with out major funding and organization

I thought Francis was supposed to appear before the World Court in August on charges related to his role in child-trafficking operations in South America a couple of decades ago.

        • Justin St.Denis

Yes. I distinctly remember reading this quite recently. The charges involve thousands of South American children, many of whom ended up in the sex trades. The allegations are that Francis had to know what would haplen to many of these kids. I believe he was supposed to be before the World Court on August 10 or thereabouts. I’d have to reGoogle the whole thing to refresh my memory.

I thought that the POPE was supposed to Defend the Catholic Faith–not Dilute it.

Pope and change. It’s the next stage of fundamentally transforming America.

  • Shebel

I wonder how ‘ buggering baby boys’ goes down with this Pope?

While he’s at it he can check into why Mexicans are so fucking poor in a country that has one of the biggest mining industries in the world, exports oil, has a large manufacturing industry, gigantic factory farms and a fabulous tourist industry. This whole immigration issue is made out to be an American problem while it’s really a Mexican problem. There’s no reason why the Mexicans would make the reforms necessary as long as they have a country to dump their ‘poor’

    • Justin St.Denis

Specifically, it is a Spanish colonialist descendants versus Mestizo issue. The former want to export as many of the latter as possible, and the USA has this stupid open border. Wow. What an opportunity! Problem solved.

Trump is right. US government is stupid, and the Mexican government is bright enough to take advantage of that. Trump knows Mexico like the back of his hand! But he does not need to wade into Mexican history, politics, and racial strife, which underlie all this. Mexico is getting rid of its indigenous peoples as quickly as it can because they are undeniably a sub-class/drag on the booming Mexican economy.

      • Millie_Woods

The next president should pull a Teddy Roosevelt and gin up a Mexican revolution ASAP. It would be bloody but it would force the government to make much-needed land and social reforms. It would be a good time to wipe out the drug cartels too. I’m serious, this problem isn’t going to get fixed by being nice to the Mexican government. The Mexican baby mills are busy churning out the next 20 million illegals, as we speak.

    • Shebel

      Sounds like Quebec.

    • Dana Garcia

Yes, Mexico is RICH. Its presidentes moan about all their poor people when they visit Washington for a handout, but it’s a big lie for the stupid Americans.

Mexico consistently ranks around #15 in world GDP:

Also, there are 16 Mexican billionaires on Forbes 2015 list:

      • Millie_Woods

Thanks for that Dana, much appreciated.

  • Millie_Woods

It was a slow day at work. Maybe one of these days I can buy you a scotch.

    • Justin St.Denis

Just one? Accumulatively Speaking, I am certain you have cost me at least three over the last few months. 😉

  • ontario john

The new marxist Pope has instructed Priests to forgive women who have abortions and doctors who perform them. I guess he wants a race with the united church to become extinct as a church.

    Good-bye Catholics.
    We never did like ya—

“Immigration” does not form any part of a debate about a country being flooded by illegal aliens/ foreign criminals without letup. Immigration is by definition the flow of documented people who have met the criteria for admission.
But the left likes to play games with words by devaluing those that define things a bit too precisely for their tastes. Pope Evita will no doubt climb onto that hobby horse with lots of enthusiasm as well.

  • FactsWillOut

Anyone who prefers public buses to luxury cars is fucking retarded.
