Canadan Passport Holder Mohamed Fahmy, 2 other Al-Jazeera journalists, sentenced to 3 years in prison

An Egyptian court on Saturday sentenced three Al-Jazeera English journalists to three years in prison, the latest twist in a long-running trial criticized worldwide by press freedom advocates and human rights activists.

The case against Canadian national Mohammed Fahmy, Australian journalist Peter Greste and Egyptian producer Baher Mohammed embroiled their journalism into the wider conflict between Egypt and Qatar following the 2013 military ouster of Islamist president Mohammed Morsi.

He was only doing what the mainstream media does in the West; reporting a point of view, rather than being a purely impartial arbiter of news.

And Canada’s media cartel are upset with the sentencing. CTV News, CBC News are doing many one-sided bleeding heart stories on this. They are truly upset.

Ahhhh, poor mohammad. I will burn a koran in his honour tonight.

If you ever visit him at the jail in Egypt and you say that to him they might end up burning you , it’s a joke

Been there a number of times, hasn’t happened yet.

Whoa, I didn’t expect that! Too bad for the luney left. They lost this one. Three years will go by quickly though and then he will be able to come “home”.

I’m not familiar with the details of this case, but I seem to recall that the original sentence was set down because Fahmy was accused and convicted of “spreading false news”. This is rather quaint terminology for propaganda. So is propaganda real news? If it is not, the sentence is just because pseuo-journalists aid and abet the cause of those who would destroy us.

There are many publications and media outlets in the world today that are propaganda machines (think Toronto Star as only one example) and it is absurd to call the majority of their “content providers” journalists. Real journalism died a long time ago.

For those seeking anything resembling the truth, you need to go to the bloggers, especially the aggregators. Thank you BCF! May you live to be 100 and continue to do your incredible job.

As many other Western countries, Canada annually imports tens of thousands of muslim radicals, who, given the opportunity won’t hesitate to enforce their genocidal cult of death and barbaric jihad rules on others. The problem is that the elites that rule Canada and the West deeply believe that All religions are equal and all cultures are the same and that there is nothing right or wrong, nothing good or evil and that All morality is relative.
