Wynne pays off unions with tax dollars to avoid negative impact of strike during Justin’s election campaign #elxn42

Ontario secondary school teachers to get raise, lump sum payment: briefing

Wynne has used our tax dollars to pay off her political masters thus avoiding the embarrassment of a teacher’s strike under her Liberal government becoming a negative election issue for Hairboy Justin.

Ontario’s predatory public service unions elected Wynne, contract negotiations are little more than pantomimes for public consumption.

Now the federal level predators, joined by their provincial counterparts have set their sites on Harper.

Welcome to the class war in Canada. Tax revolt anyone?

Public sector unions must be crushed

Public sector unions must be crushed

  • David Murrell

Elections Ontario records indicate that tha Ontario Secondary School union has donated thousands of dollars to the Ontario Liberals. And this union is working hard to defeat Harper. But all of this corruption is not investigated by the mefia.

    • The media have never questioned the unions, they are after all Union members themselves.

    • WalterBannon

why is the CRA not investigating them?

  • Maggat

Unions, an insidious cancer that is killing us rapidly, from the inside, and we seem unwilling to excise it.

    • Just takes a Reagan.

    • Minicapt

“Unions are a traditional Canadian characteristic, they make us ‘Canadian’.”
      … savour it …

public sector unions should be banned and half of these leaches should be fired

The first thing a Conservative government should do is decrease the size of the public sector.

They had 10 years and did not do it.

One is as bad as the other.

Student enrollment has declined by 250,000 students in just over a decade in Ontario while teacher pay was already the highest in the world before the increase. Teacher to student time (or work load) has decreased in a decade. Teachers have on average three months of the year off not including vacation and sick days. Teachers still have a define benefit plan subsidized by taxpayers. It seems the goal of the teacher unions is to have teachers to be highly paid to do a little as possible much like firefighters are who earn $140,000 year including benefits and only work 7 days a month with a continuing decline in the amount of emergency calls related to fire. Most emergency calls firefighters respond to are paramedic related. Eventually (the sooner the better) they will reach the tipping point were they will price themselves out of the market making them too expensive to maintain and the government will be forced to outsource these services to the private sector at a much more affordable rate for the taxpayer.

Fire services are mostly volunteers in most municipalities in Ontario. This is a purely urban issue as only urbanites benefit from professional fire services. The rest of us should not have to pay for urban problems.

      • Alain

        Same thing here in BC.

It cannot be stressed enough that public service unions should simply not exist in the first place. The main reason is that those negotiating with the public service unions have no vested interest, since it is not their own money nor their business that is at risk. The ones actually paying the bill are the tax payers who have no say in the matter. This in itself is nonsense.
