We’re in the dog days of summer. You should be at the cottage or tenting in the north woods with family, or kicking back on the couch with a beer, watching a CFL game or thrilling to the Blue Jays’ run for their first postseason appearance in 22 years.

But if, instead, you’re following the early days of Canada’s long, long federal election campaign, you’ll have heard already that during a stop in Regina on Wednesday, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau promised to grow the economy “not from the top down the way Mr. Harper wants to, but from the heart outwards.”
