Adam Dandach, Pride of El Modena High School, Guilty of Trying to Help Islamic State

Orange resident Adam Dandach, who’d changed his first name to Fadi-Fadi by the time he tried to fly off and join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) last year, pleaded guilty Monday to federal charges of attempting to provide material support to terrorists and making a false statement in a passport application.

The 21-year-old, who pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge James V. Selna in Santa Ana, could get 25 years in federal prison at sentencing scheduled for January, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Fadi-Fadi? That’s the name he picked? What a cosmic loser.

      From Wikipedia:

Fadi (also spelled Fady or Fadey) is an Arabic male given name meaning “redeemer or savior”, translating as “The Sacrifice”. The name is most often used for Arabic-speaking Muslims and Christians.

So he named himself Redeemer-Savior. How very modest.

    • Millie_Woods

Ya. Why couldn’t he change his name to Caitlin like any other red-blooded American boy?

He looks like he might not be from around here.
    Where are his parents from?

The poem runs just over two typed pages, with stanzas that include these sentiments:

    Oh, you hateful fiends!

    Know that revenge will come

You’re standing in front of the One (God)

A punishment in a fiery sea

    Of carnage and blazing agony

    There is also his anguish:

I live my life alone; nobody sees my tears.

I’m a stranger here; my pleas fall on deaf ears.

    He signs off this way:

“With tearful sincerity, Adam Dandach, AKA Al-Fadi (The Sacrificer).”
