Thank you for knee-capping the NDP campaign Linda

NDP’s policies would kill oilsands

In politics, a “gaffe” occurs when someone accidentally tells the truth.

Enter Linda McQuaig, one of Canada’s most famous radical leftists and NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair’s star candidate in the riding of Toronto Centre.

This just in….mcquaig is subdividing her Oakville mansion into low income bedsitters and apartments. She looks forward to rubbing elbows with the proletariat she loves and worships.

  • simus1

    She looks ………………………………. fine.
Malcair must be looking forward to appointing her to a high profile position in his cabinet when he becomes PM.

    • Hope it comes with hair care.

They’re going to hire Sarah Thomson for the job!

          Rise up!
          Rise up!

  • BillyHW

How can anyone listen to LInda McQuaig and think universal suffrage was a good idea? I’m asking honestly.

    • Kaye

She’s an idiot, no doubt, but you can’t extrapolate from her to all women. Do you think Pam Geller or Margaret Thatcher shouldn’t have been allowed the vote? Obama is male – he definitely should never have been allowed to vote but that doesn’t mean all men should be prevented from voting.

      • Alain

I always said that Lady Thatcher had more balls than any male politician of the time and that is a big compliment. Unfortunately she and women like her are a very small minority nowadays, just as men of the younger generations with any critical thinking ability are a minority in their group. None of this is genetic but was purposely created by a failed education system and a sick popular culture in my view.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

I had a crush on Maggie when I was a kid.
          And the Queen, too.
Queer like how it used to mean.
Queer like how it used to mean.

      • BillyHW

I don’t need to extrapolate to all women. I only need to extrapolate to 51% of women. We’d have a lot more Margaret Thatchers as leaders in office if women didn’t have the right to vote.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

The crux of all these arguments is finding where the normal in the normal distribution is.
Then maybe we’ll be able to tell the truth to each other.

          • BillyHW

My experience is that for every 1 Maggie Thatcher there are 99 Linda McQuaigs.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

I married me a girl who is more Maggie than Linda.
And our daughter is precious in her hate for Liberals and the NDP.
Our son couldn’t give a damn, yet.
He hasn’t seen his first paycheque stub.

          • Martin B

How many Justin Trudeaus & Barack Obamas for every Maggie Thatcher? In the last election Obama got 42% of white women, 46% of married women, 56% of single men (the PajamaBoy demographic is growing), 69% of Jews, 71% of Hispanics, 73% of Asians, and 93% of blacks:

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election_2012
            http://amren.com/features/2012/race-and-the-2012-election/

White women have been voting pretty consistently Republican since the 70s. When it comes to voting for the Welfare State and destructive intrusive government in general black men have all kinds of women beat by a country mile. It’s hard to argue that the 19th Amendment was a terrible mistake and the 15th Amendment wasn’t.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            Of those who voted.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      Because Joe Biden.

      • BillyHW

That is a powerful argument, but ultimately fails because a majority of men didn’t vote for his ticket. It was women who voted to make him vice president.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

          Okay, how’s this?
Maybe the wimmins who were really bitchy in 2008 and couldn’t stand the thought of President Hillary Clinton voted en masse for the black guy.
You know, because John McCain was such a dreamboat candidate and that is not their fault.

  • Exile1981

It’s not like anyone with a brain didn’t already know that was the plan.

    • True, it’s hardly a revelation.

    • WalterBannon

Yes but that cohort excludes all NDP voters

      • Exile1981

I did say anyone with a brain. So of course that excludes ndp voters.

  • Ron MacDonald

We’ve watch progressives ruin the US of A over the past 7 years, I hope Canadians aren’t stupid enough to elect a similar bunch of idiots.

    • I hope Canadians note the great success Wynne has had in destroying Ontario, and Alberta’s joy at Notley.

      • Petey

Are you being sarcastic with regard to Alberta? Is there already some signs of buyer’s regret there?

        • Exile1981

Some but not enough yet. Sadly notley is smart enough to hold back most of her plans till after the federal election otherwise mulcair would be less electable.

        • Frances

The Prentice budget had some taxes being raised immediately, with others to follow. Notley didn’t enact the deferred taxes, but didn’t rescind the immediate ones either. So Albertans are already paying more tax.

        • Bataviawillem

The buyer’s regret showed the day after the elections in the stockmarket.

      • Ron MacDonald

Considering so many members of the NDP and Liberals share the same ideology, these two parties with either form a coalition to oust Harper or the parties will merge to form a single socialist party.

        • jayme

That would be bad. I think there is probably a solid 30-35% conservative support in the country, but it wouldn’t be enough for them ever to get elected again if the left was united (and the liberals really are the left as well, obviously). I sure hope it doesn’t happen.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

They don’t share the same ideology.
          They only seem to.
I hate the Liberals but Harper’s idea of crushing them like bug is starting to bug me.
In the end it only gives the voters one alternative and that’s the NDP.
          It’s quite frankly horrifying.

    • WalterBannon

Oh, they are stupid enough. Just look at AB, or Ontario

  • Martin B

Try as they might they just can’t keep their commie crackpots in the closet.

    • WalterBannon

That’s because they are ALL commie crackpots

      • dance…dancetotheradio

But, they can’t be honest about it.
I call my socialist friend at work a communist and he gets very quiet.
It bothers him so much that he never misses a chance to bait me with a conservative joke.
