‘In Canada, I feel like I’m sucking air’: Canadian woman returns after fighting with Kurds against ISIL

As news reports of Western youths joining ISIL dominated the headlines last spring, Hanna Bohman — once a fashion model, then a sales clerk — ran the other way: away from her cushy life in Vancouver and toward the front lines in the war against the jihadists.

In March, she boarded a plane to Iraq, and spent 10 days trying to get across the border into Syria to join up with the Kurdish women’s defence forces, known as the YPJ.

She had found her calling.

a volunteer peshmergette that is something that is really admirable, good on her.

Blasting jihadists is a fine thing for a woman to do, in particular because Islam’s war on women is the real deal.

“Officially, the Canadian government does not condone people going to fight with Kurds and suggests they join the Canadian army instead. But none of them encountered any difficulty returning home”

I would like to think that Hanna Bohman & her fellow volunteers will continue to encounter no difficulty and that “Canadians” who sign up with Islamic State will encounter great difficulty returning to our soil.

unfortunately returning jihadists will be welcomed into the academic world which shares their hatred of western values.

The difficulty will be that the agents of the religion of peace are firmly implanted here and I foresee constant harassment from these vermin in her future. I would trust her with a conceal carry permit, but sadly this is Canada.
