CBC reporter mocks Harper on Netflix Tax that the CBC actually supports

CBC’s social media reporter Laureen O’Neil goes out of her way to mock PM Stephen Harper over his tweet about refusing to implement a Netflix tax…

  • Drunk_by_Noon

Let me guess, the CBC is likely the sole beneficiary of such a tax?
A Tele-Tax by any other name and if you DON’T watch the CBC you must pay for the privilege.

  • El Martyachi

Thing #2218 that belongs on a national referendum: Yes, keep the CBC. No, replace it with a lottery whereby a random Canadian becomes a millionaire every eight hours.

Better yet , lets use the CRA Income Tax forms that will have several Boxes to tick-off for those that want part of their Refund to go to the CBC or Home delivery for mail and other Liberal Socialist causes .

Olivia Chow can donate to her ” No one is illegal” crusade to pay for the health care and Housing or give money to the Welfare Industrial Complex in Regent Park for the islamists pouring in as ” refugees” that now impose sharia law at the Rec Centre pool as if they own the $1billion complex.

If most Canadians wanted more Canadian content on Netflix they wouldn’t be bypassing their Canadian ip addresses to watch the American version and thats what just about everyone I know is doing.

It’s about protecting our culture, don’t you know? Just like bringing in all this poisonous cultural enrichment ….

Get a life Lenny. BTW Squiggy wants his tube of K-Y back.

Says the one with the shriveled nut sack and substandard micro-penis.

      • Nuked him this time.

        • mobuyus

I would really love to see these bottom feeders thoroughly nucleated.

  • Clausewitz

Looks like the CBC can’t keep their lies straight. How precious.

    • Blacksmith

My thought was, I would have thought a supposed reporter would be a little more in tune with what she is supposed to be for or against.

    • Wynne got caught in the same lie about her government investigating a Netflix tax.

The fact is there is no proof that any party leader wants to bring in any sort of Netflix Tax. It is just hearsay and innuendo. Frankly, Canadians haven’t even elected Mulcair or Trudeau or May, yet everyone is worried about what they might do?! I frankly don’t support any mainstream leader. I have made this clear since coming on BCF about a year ago as Billy Bob Thornton. I think what Canadians want is real leadership and to make our economy work for everyone and to finally get a hold of our debt, which no leader is truly tackling. I come here as a nationalist since the Canadian Action party leader, Jeremy Arney, is the only one that would truly tell the truth about all matters and would say what the situation is in our economy, our foreign policy, our debt and even our immigration matters. That is a farcry from the political and mainstream class.

You should run for Parliament as a CAP candidate; you should lose your candidate’s deposit.

The fact is taxes are necessary in a society so that everyone does well. I do not care for the debates of taxes versus tax cuts, since they are usually false dichotomies because a society cannot be ran normally unless there is a significant safety nets, and ways to give people a reasonable disposable income. Just look at how emerging economies are doing. They keep reasonable safety nets. They have reasonable taxation policies as well. The way to build a modern economic society is by mixing private and public sector, and the structure of the economy matters more than how many taxes a party cuts. Frankly, Canadians need a discussion about how much those corporate taxes did nothing to contribute to manufacturing in Ontario, and how globalization has impacted wages and jobs here in Ontario, in the GTA and all over the province, where I live. Which is why I have argued many times that we need more protectionism on manufacturing and opening up to the world for small businesses. There are ways to protect on some matters and be globalized for other matters.

“The fact is taxes are necessary in a society so that everyone does well”

No taxes are not necessary, not even for roads and sewers, or armies

Taxes are necessary so worthless parasites can “do well” feeding off everyone else’s labour (at gunpoint)

Taxes makes a country to run the way it should be,but the billionaires they always get away with it .

more protectionism on manufacturing and opening up to the world for small businesses.

Muslim see taxes and Jizya so they can live off the hard working infidels as we see in Europe where 70% of them are on welfare .

If taxes are so great for your Just Society , why did Paul Martin hide his $400,000,000.00 off-shore in a tax-free Island Nation to NOT pay taxes in Canada while he was our Finance Minister.

I posted this yesterday without the link.

Adrienne Arsenault, ” …the CBC has called on Netflix and other similar streaming services to contribute to the Canadian media fund as Canadian broadcasters do, and that is the National …”

This little tidbit was the last 10 seconds of their broadcast on a Friday night.

I doubt if many saw it, but it does allow them to say that they have been open and transparent about their intentions.

Defeating PM Harper is worth hundreds of millions to the CBC over the next 4 years.

Full speed ahead, damn the truth.

Today, the link goes to ” The clip we tried to show you is not available” .

One wonders how much bribe money (dinero negro) CBC reporters get to push their Netflix tax. Consorting with Harper’s opposition is only part of their nefarious plan. The corrupt CBC News still has to lobby to get a Netflix tax passed.
