Analysis: Trudeau suits up, but doesn’t quite look the part

Justin Trudeau showed up with pants on, but his performance in Thursday’s leaders’ debate still wasn’t enough to erase the image Conservatives have skillfully created that he’s not ready to replace Stephen Harper as prime minister.

Conservative spokesman Kory Teneycke set the bar for the Liberal leader’s performance so low earlier this week, it would be impossible to deny he bettered their expectations.

“I think that if he comes on stage with his pants on, he will probably exceed expectations,” Teneycke quipped Tuesday.

Lizzie May showed up sober, which frankly was the evening’s biggest disappointment.

I think JT belongs on the cover of GQ and he wears nice suits.

    • Makes sense;)

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      Would you screw him Linda?

      • Linda1000

No, I’m old enough to be his mom. I was thinking drama teacher to fashion model for JT because he likes posing for pictures. That might be an actual cover of Maclean’s as I think it says 2002 on it. Who knows, I found it months ago from an indepth search like “pictures of JT”.

          part time drama teacher

I finally looked at his Bio on Wiki which says he was a French and math teacher. He did play an acting role in a CBC mini series of a WW1 battle in 2007. He seemed to spend a few years in school pursuing a couple of different degrees after teaching but not completing them. He has only been in politics since 2008.

and a millionaire $$ since he was born

          • Linda1000

True, but that’s not his fault. 🙂
Some people are just lucky I guess. I don’t think his constant referencing of his father’s political legacy is going translate into many more votes for him.

  • Nic

small and droopy, and as for the boobs…

    • Petey

It’s never the pretty ones that go topless … (sigh).

      • David Murrell

Good piece by Ezra here. But we can be sure that the paid-and-bought-for media will keep silent about this.

      • DVult

Some things are better left to the imagination.

Partly off topic, but in the CTV national news show last night, after the show did its lead story covering the debate, the show aird a piece by one Richard Madan, who viciously attacked Harper for supporting Netflix, and his opposing the supposed “Netflix tax”:

Now even at his “best”, Richard Madan is a poor, liberal-left reporter, a reporter who slavishly toes the line at CTV News. But here he is carrying the water for his corporate bosses — at BellMedia, and BCE — who oppose Netflix eating into their viewership and advertising sales. Good to see the establishment media cartel lobbying for extra cash, all the while attacking Stephen Harper.

The media attacks are getting vicious, indeed.

      The CRTC proposed the tax.
The money would go to those who produce Canadian content.
Who produces the most Canadian content?

      The CBC.

      • Clausewitz

Errrr, No. Actually private production companies produce approximately 3 times the viewable hours as compared to the CBC. It’s just that their product is sold to many different stations. The CBC only produces about 30% of their own content compared to 85% in the 70’s.

        • wallyj180

The CBC just had about a 15 second clip on Newsworld where they admitted that they would benefit from the tax.

Your numbers may be accurate, but the CBC stayed quiet on their benefit, and that is wrong.

Of the three boobs in the picture, the biggest one was Trudeau.

  • Waffle

Very classy of The Rebel to discreetly cover Justin’s F-18 with its logo.

  • mobuyus

justin trudeau is a fag’s fag. His performance was terrible. Whats with all that breathing in every ten seconds it sounded like he was getting poked continuously in the ass. This idiot has had voice lessons and public speaking training and he sounds like he failed. justin trudeau is a failure as a man.

    • Clausewitz

A Metrosexual like Trudeau is nothing more than a Gay too afraid to come out of the closet.

      • mauser 98

has lotsa money,, he won’t come out

  • Bataviawillem

During one of the interruptions of the debate there was the outcome of a face book pole about carbon tax in which it was claimed that 67% of canadians wanted a price on carbon.
I find that very hard to believe, that must be riged.

    • Clausewitz

It’s the Goebbels Big Lie theory in action. Tell a lie enough times and it will become the accepted truth.

    • Minicapt

No, they probably took the poll in the CBC cafeteria, after arranging a bi-partisan set of persons present.

It seems to me that Justin Trudeau has two major problems. The first is that he’s an empty-headed nonentity who is simply a puppet for the usual gang of cronies and bagmen that have always comprised the Liberal backroom. His second major problem is that he doesn’t realize this, and actually thinks he’s leading the party. One could almost feel sorry for him, come the day he’s actually elected PM or even Leader of the Opposition…however this is so unlikely as to be unthinkable.
