Israel places first Jewish extremist under administrative detention

Israel has detained the first Jewish extremist under tough new regulations allowing Jews suspected of “terrorism” to be imprisoned without trial.

Mordechai Meyer, 18, from the East Jerusalem settlement of Maale Adumim, has been subjected to six-months administrative detention, reportedly for suspected involvement in an arson attack on an iconic Christian church in Galilee in June.

  • As he (allegedly) burned down a church, what choice does anyone have?

What is sparking this rash of attacks? Or are these guys the true random crazies?

    I suspect the latter.

    • Crazies.

      • Note that these “lone wolves” who attacked “random people” are actually lone wolves who attacked single persons/establishments and will now face punishment as opposed to the lone wolves packs that attack hundreds and thousands of people and then get praised for it.

A mosque I would understand, but choosing a church tells me there is probably a screw or two missing.

This is a decidedly different reaction to terrorism from your own side than dancing in the streets and passing out candy.

Every society has their percentage of evil, vicious bastards. Some societies, by all current global news accounts, a much higher percentage. I suppose it was inevitable that one such should eventually appear in Israel’s.
Good for Israel for dealing with this swiftly and sternly. If only other nations did likewise…
